Lovense Survey Finds ‘Disconnect’ in Couples – and Ways to Bridge It |
According to a survey conducted by sex tech developer and adult pleasure product manufacturer Lovense, one in four Americans in a serious relationship is currently experiencing a ârelationship rut.â The survey, which according to Lovense polled 2,000 respondents, also found that 26% âfeel their partnership needs a spark,â while also providing insight into ways couples are âbreaking out of these ruts and reigniting their connection.â âItâs a quiet truth many couples keep to themselves: their intimacy has slipped into autopilot for a long time,â Lovense said in summarizing the companyâs analysis of the data. The company noted that â24% of people in serious relationships admit to fantasizing about other partners,â calling this result a âsymptom of a deeper disconnect.â Lovense added that the disconnect is not a matter of âjust fleeting boredom,â noting that 63% of respondents âworry that these intimacy issues could eventually end their relationship if left unaddressed.â The survey revealed several other attitudes that represent âclear warning signsâ according to Lovense:
Whatâs going wrong for these couples? Lovense said âa dull sex life plays a big part.â âNearly half of respondents (48%) say they have sex just one to five times a month, while 13% gave their sex life a harsh â but honest â failing grade of âF,ââ Lovense noted. Still, the survey is not without its good news, Lovense said. âRevitalizing your relationship might be easier than you think,â the company said. âThis survey reveals that couples are taking powerful steps to bring back the passion. Key strategies include improving communication (62%) and trying new experiences together (43%), with 36% of couples reporting real success in reigniting their intimacy. 11% of couples are turning to technology â like innovative toys and AI-powered solutions â to bring excitement back into the bedroom.â In a result the company described as âeven more surprising,â among the 31% of respondents who have been or are current in an long-distance relationship, â20% say their connection is even âspicierâ than couples living nearby.â âFor 83% of these couples, technology is key in maintaining a strong bond and enhancing intimacy, proving that tech isnât just a tool for distance â it can strengthen any relationship, no matter the proximity,â Lovense added. Dan Liu, CEO of Lovense, said that technology âis not about replacing human connection, it’s about enhancing it, keeping things fresh, and helping couples rediscover that spark, whether theyâre together or apart.â According to the survey, â24% of couples are incorporating sex toys into their experiences,â as part of adding spice to their sex lives. The company noted that in addition to utilizing sex toys, couples are trying a variety of approaches, from âexperimenting with new sexual positions, to open communication during sex and exploring role playâ as part of âstepping out of their comfort zones to keep things exciting.â âKeeping a long-term relationship exciting doesnât have to be complicated,â Liu said. âEven small changes, like introducing tech innovations to the bedroom, can spark intimacy and strengthen connections.â For more information on Lovense and the products offered by the company, go to Lovense.com. |
