Red Carpet Fashion Runs the Gamut at the 2025 AVN Awards

LAS VEGAS—In January, the new year kicks off in the mainstream and adult entertainment industries with awards season, when the AVN Awards are often referred to as “the Oscars of porn.” In fashion terms, the AVN Awards red carpet is unique compared to other awards season spectacles. The adult stars who walk the AVN carpet typically don’t have personal stylists or access to free frocks and jewels from high-end designers who are vying for publicity, like Hollywood stars have at their disposal. If anything, the AVN Awards red carpet is more like a prom of professional promiscuity, where participants who come from every level of the industry are free to be whatever kind of fabulous they want to be—from ball gowns to BDSM to ba-donk-a-donk-donk—the dress code is whatever feels fancy. Some starlets plan their looks months in advance, others are more spontaneous. For attendees, it’s their moment in the limelight. Many of the stars this year were more covered up, despite the current Hollywood trend toward “naked” dressing—though the influence of the adult industry on mainstream muses hasn’t been lost. Rap wife and model Bianca Censori, was nearly naked in an appearance on the 2025 Grammys red carpet that was much more exposed than any of the stars at AVN. “I think I’m the most naked one here,” quipped Brazzers exclusive star Connie Perignon. “How did that happen?” She wore a nude-colored cat suit bedazzled with a spiderweb pattern that showcased her bodacious curves and colorful tattoos, and said it was some “cheap” thing from Amazon. “But when you put something cheap on a body like this, it looks expensive,” she laughed with a wink. Another Ye ex and fashionatrix Julia Fox, recently posed at a MAC Cosmetics event clad in a hyper-realistic leather breast plate that was similar to a design worn by adult actress Daisy Ducati at the awards, who wore a custom-made halter top crafted from see-through leather, with a wide, corseted black leather belt and silky, strappy skirt. The media scrum on the main stretch of red carpet has room for more than 30 photographers with Getty Photos and The Daily Mail in prime positions. AVN Hall of Famer Holly Randall, a red carpet veteran and award-winning photographer, took a moment to pose for the paparazzi. She wore an elegant orchid pink satin outfit she said was from Rent the Runway—and was fortunate to have it, she told AVN. She had planned another outfit that, unfortunately, had to be left behind when she was evacuated for the Palisades Fire that swept through Malibu in the beginning of January, a week before the show in Vegas. “Broken Butterfly: The Perfect Shade of Blu” would later win for Best Featurette and Best Screenplay—Featurette, for her Randall Productions. “It was a little bit of a panic, because I had to evacuate because of the fires,” Randall described. “The firefighters actually saved my house—Thank God for Cal-Fire, I owe them everything!” “I like to do something that’s classic, glamorous, but also out of the norm,” said starlet Octavia Red, who was a vision of retro Hollywood glamour with her hair perfectly set in ‘30s-style finger waves, wearing a custom-tailored gown—five-alarm red (of course) with dazzling beading, and a cape that draped from her shoulders. Her metal cuffs gave Superwoman vibes. She and award show host Blake Blossom would later go on to share the Best Girl/Girl Scene trophy. Emma Hix, who would win her first AVN for Best POV Scene, showed up for the carpet in chains—covered in them. Her figure-hugging mini-dress was completely embellished in lengths of gold-tone Cuban link chain, for an elegantly urban look that beautifully highlighted her blonde, pulled-back hair. “I had three dresses,” Hix confessed. “This one came just a couple days before I left to come to Vegas, so, I’m wearing it. Luckily, the other two dresses are being worn two other girls here tonight.” Ariel Demure, who had scored a consecutive nomination for Trans Performer of the Year, was dressed to kill, literally, with a sort of Birds of Prey motif, expressed with black leather opera gloves, a sparkly, shredded black gown and an elaborate, feathered, black bird shoulder-piece. The political climate following the inauguration on January 20 was what motivated her rebellious look. Demure later took home two trophies for Gorgons & Goddesses, including Best Trans Acting Performance. Red carpet interviews were hosted by industry luminaries, as well, including British MILF and adult maven, Tanya Tate, who wore a glittering silver sequined gown while interviewing stars for Adult Empire. Nearby, Fleshlight Girl and billboard model Banksie was dressed in a splendid red gown with a big bow in the back,  as she interviewed live for LoyalFans. Naked News’ trio of red carpet reporters—Eila Adams, Cecelia Sommer, and Marina Valmont—took turns on-camera with the line of nominees. Multi-award winner and fan favorite Angela White, who has been wearing a sleek, minimal look at other award season events, stunned in an all-black high-neck, long sleeved, body-hugging floor-length sequined gown from Balenciaga that fit like a snakeskin. She would later take home the AVN trophy for Best Star Showcase, for “Fuck Angela.” Kira Noir (“noir” is “black” in French), in contrast, wore a creamy white creation that was romantic and thoroughly modern at the same time. The dress was from Italian designer Marina EErrie, Noir explained. “I have a lot of her dresses and corsets, and I love that it’s designed by a woman—you can tell in the way it drapes and flows.” Lady in red and GILF star Seeka Black wore a structured red gown, on her tuxedoed husband’s arm—a handsome couple. She shared that they had five daughters, 11 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren, and that one of her granddaughters is a cosplay model with her own OnlyFans page. Black wasn’t shy to add that, at 70 years old, it was her first AVN red carpet and she walked as a nominee. “I’m up  two awards tonight,” Black said. “I’m so excited—for Niche Performer of the Year and the fans voting for Favorite MILF Star.” Also in all-red, two-time Trans Performer of the Year Emma Rose took literal dressing to the next level in a strapless frock with a band of roses at the hem, red hair, a big red rose corsage, and see-through platform heels filled with red rose petals, for fun, flirty floral look. Starlet Dan Dangler, who would later win fan-voted Hottest Porn Newcomer, had gone from brunette just the day before to a luscious shade of blonde for her walk down the carpet. It took her three months to find the skin-tight, baby blue strapless gown, bedazzled with silvery sequins and beading, she said. “I like to say that I’m in my Dolly Parton era,” said AVN Hall of Famer Brittany Andrews, who wore a lavender look with lavish beading and feathers, the pastel shade complimenting her blonde up-do. She said that, for her event looks, she has pieces customized by a Vegas costumer that also does wardrobe for stage shows and dancers. Andrews later took home the trophy for Favorite Domme. Willowy starlet Molly Little also wore a long lavender look in a sheer, draping, beautifully beaded design. “I’m nominated for a couple of things—Best Girl/Girl, Best Blowbang, Best VR Scene, and fan favorite for Favorite Female Performer,” she said. Penny Barber, 2024 MILF Performer of the Year and nommed this year in the same category, made a bold statement in a business suit style, bright orange, with a stylishly cut jacket and rhinestone-detailed skirt. “I’m ‘business mommy,’” Barber teased. “I’ve worn orange before, and it’s a color not a lot of people wear—in fact, I may be the only one here in orange.” So, while there was a lot of red and sequins and leather, there was no one trend, color, or style dominating the scene amongst the diverse crowd. Of course, one can never go wrong in black—especially when worn by MILF stars Reagan Foxx and Shay Sights, who posed together, just like the toxic twins from their nominated featurette, Adult Time’s “Let her In.” Also in all-black, Adult Time brand ambassador and headlining feature dancer, Lauren Phillips, channeled her inner Elvira to great effect, in black latex and a neckline that plunged to her waist. Tattooed babe Jessie Lee was all tied up in a not-so-basic black satin, corseted dress, leather collar, and matching, spikey black leather teddy bear purse. Men hit the carpet in everything from tuxedos to utility kilts, making bold choices with attention to detail. Industry veteran Tee Reel looked sharp in a custom-made black and white tuxedo that added a touch of Rat Pack-style class, appropriate for Vegas. “I’m very fortunate to be spending my twentieth year at the AVN Awards as a nominee, as a performer and an agent,” Reel told AVN. “I’m very proud and excited about everything my team has accomplished this year, and we’re looking for some great things to happen in 2025.” Multi-award winning director Ricky Greenwood wore a glittery red lamé suit jacket, which he confessed was kind of expensive when he bought it to wear to his first AVN Awards show, a decade ago. Alt Erotic director Ivan wore his signature colorful camouflage, a yellow trucker hat, and huge gold chain. AVN Hall of Famer James Bartholet wore a suit jacket from L.A.’s Anarchy Designs embellished with a clever, glittery city skyline pattern. It was the first time at the AVN Awards for brand new starlet Taylor Wild, who signed with Invision Models only three months ago. Her cocktail length dress was encrusted with pearls, a very luxe look to go with the stars in her eyes. “I’m new,” she said, “but I hope to be nominated next year.” “I’ve already cried twice,” Wild gushed. “I’m just so grateful and so proud—I finally am here.
