AVN Best New Starlet Nominees Share the Spotlight at AEE Panel

LAS VEGAS—The 2025 class of AVN Best New Starlet nominees debuted Friday night on a panel co-moderated by AVN Managing Editor Peter Warren and reigning 2024 Best New Starlet winner Chanel Camryn. The young performers shared their unique insights and perspectives on the eve of the AVN Awards, where one of them will take home the winner’s trophy, which will be presented by Camryn on Saturday night. The nominees present at the panel included Myra Moans, Millie Morgan, Angel Windell, Kelsey Kane, Gal Ritchie, Dan Dangler, Jasmine Sherni, Addison Vodka, Rissa May, Raven Lane, Khloe Kingsley, and Madison Wilde. Those unable to be present included Brianna Arson, Hayley Davies, and Sinatra Monroe. The nominees, over the last year, have distinguished themselves by appearing in as many as 100 scenes (for most of them) and in content that has received positive response, as well as the range of performances from gonzo scenes to feature roles. The questions put to the panel by Warren covered topics of interest to fans and followers and allowed audience attendees to get a sense of each ladies’ personality. Spiegler Girl and UK native Ritchie said that, when picking out her performing name, she had originally settled on “Autumn Sandler” (like comedian Adam Sandler) until other models said they didn’t love her choice. Being a movie fanatic, she took a new cue from mainstream director Guy Ritchie and actress Gal Gadot. Moans had been “Myra Glasford” until a friend suggested something simple with a touch of iteration. Asked about their favorite on-screen accomplishments, Moans noted a Bridgerton-themed scene, in which she was able to maintain a British accent, even throughout the sex. Windell noted her first “double vag” scene. Ritchie was honored to have taken part in a 20-person orgy scene for Brazzers alongside several industry legends. Sherni noted a scene from Digital Playground feature Ghosted, where she felt she had given everything she had to the scene. Dangler was proud of “all the cool people I’ve fucked,” while Vodka was proud of a Mofos scene that had featured her in viral advertising, raising her profile as a performer. Kingsley noted that she’d done a “shitload of anal.” When asked to talk about something they’d learned from their experiences over the last year, more than one starlet pointed out that the physicality of performance forced them to relearn their bodies, with Kane pointing out that adult performers must maintain their physical fitness like an athlete. Ritchie added that, especially when new to the business, that actresses should listen to their bodies and take time off when needed. Kane, who is married, said she thought it was important to also maintain a healthy sex life off-set, away from the work environment. Vodka said she had also learned a lot about communication and “checking in” with herself. Madison said bluntly that she had learned to say “no,” and that it was okay to do that. And, in a world where it’s difficult to avoid the slings and arrows of social media comments and public disapproval, Sherni felt that she would advise new performers to remember that “you’re worthy, you should do it—fuck the haters.” Kingsley said that she felt that she had come to feel like her “authentic self” over the last year. Dangler, who once worked in a nursing facility, said that the patients there often regretted “not living an authentic life,” and that sentiment had encouraged her to pursue an adult career. Warren, at one point, brought up the topic of the “Best New Starlet curse,” a quasi-legend based on the abrupt ends of several past winners’ careers. While it was worth mentioning, the nominees—like those before them—laughed off the idea. Sitting in the seats that were once occupied by names like Ginger Lynn (1985), Jenna Jameson (1996), Stormy Daniels (2004), and other luminous legends of the erotic screen that precede them, the 2025 ingenues at the beginning of their careers could only keep fingers crossed and look forward to the next adventure—and Saturday night. All agreed they were especially worried about their dresses and getting red carpet-ready for the big event. “It was definitely an amazing moment,” Camryn recalled of her win, as she ends her 2024 reign. “There were so many other girls that had done so much more than me, social media-wise—but I knew I had shot a shitload of pornos. I definitely wasn’t expecting it and it showed in my reaction onstage.” A moment she will always remember, she said, that’s been captured on video for posterity.
