Catching Up With Nina White

LOS ANGELES—Nina White reveals that her journey to full-time adult performing started when she fell in love with camming at 18. The exotic beauty—she’s half Ethiopian, a quarter Mexican and a quarter white—gained invaluable experience over a six-year stretch going live on cam sites such as Chaturbate and MyFreeCams. “I really started it as a hobby just bored in my room,” White recalls. “I tried the 9-to-5 thing and then I was like fuck it, let me go back to camming, I love doing it more than anything else. And I think that got me really comfortable for mainstream porn.” Then in 2021 the L.A. native decided it was time to take the next step in her adult entertainment career. “Porn was always on my bucket list,” Nina admits. “I think it was in my mind for a while but I didn’t know anything about the industry really. So about two years ago I shot my first scene and I loved it.” Now nearing the end of her third year in adult and with new scenes out for studios such as Deeper, Evil Angel, MYLF, Team Skeet and Cherry Pimps, Nina is building palpable momentum heading into the winter months. “How far I’ve come is funny because when I think of my own growth I feel like I’ve done a lot but I still feel new I guess because the people around me are such vets in the game,” Nina says humbly. “So I think getting that recognition and even just meeting people that do recognize me or know me—that means so much to me. I love that.” White, who has been to one AVN Show in Vegas so far, says the adult industry is “so much bigger than I thought.” “I just love everything that it has to offer,” Nina says. “When you’re not in the industry you don’t know all that it is. I’ve been having so much fun with it. Because it’s like a big, glamorous version of what I was just doing in my bedroom.” Nina says once she decided she was ready that it was almost as if fate intervened. “I think I kind of manifested it a little bit,” she says. “Because I always said I know I can research and find my own agency. But I kind of want to meet somebody in the business and want them to point me in a direction so I’m not just blindly walking in. “So magically someone in the industry was living in my building and he literally said something to me like, ‘Hey, can I get your Instagram?’” Nina tells AVN she was coming back from running errands and wasn’t even all dolled up. When  she starting looking through his Instagram she noticed a post he made about New Sensations. So she asked him about it and two weeks later she was represented by OC Modeling and shooting porn. The guy who she met that day in her building turned out to be veteran performer Chris Blaccwood. “So I think it was kind of meant to happen, honestly,” Nina says. “When I was ready, the universe was like here you go. “And actually it’s funny my best friend’s boyfriend now is old buddy’s with [Chris] from school.
