Former Adult Performer Domineko Passes Away

LOS ANGELES—Former adult performer Domineko passed away on Sept. 21 after a bout with cancer, friends confirmed Monday. He was 46. A prolific, reliable stud who became a regular on many sets in the 2000s, Domineko amassed more than 600 credits between 2000-2014, according to IAFD. He became a go-to guy for studios such as West Coast Productions, Evasive Angles, Devil’s Film, Dogfart, Black Magic and Hustler Video; he also had multiple credits for Evil Angel and Elegant Angel among numerous others. In addition, Domineko directed a handful of titles for West Coast Productions—including three volumes of Looking 4 Azz—using the pseudonym D. Heff. His directing name was inspired by his admiration for the late Hugh Hefner, according to former performer SuaveXXX, who had known Domineko for about 30 years. Both grew up in Carson, Calif., about 16 miles south of LA, and had been friends before beginning their careers in adult. SuaveXXX said Domineko first was diagnosed with bladder cancer in 2020, but he kept his battle with the illness private and was able to get it under control. The cancer returned recently and spread to his upper body, according to SuaveXXX, who told AVN that Domineko had been receiving hospice care at his home in Carson, where his sister was helping to take care of him. SuaveXXX said he’ll remember Domineko’s charismatic personality that shined through both on and off the set. “He was real cool and chill,” SuaveXXX said. “Sometimes he would wear a fur coat. He was a player…” SuaveXXX told AVN Domineko was a consummate ladies’ man and “his sport was the women.” He often would even wear a gold chain with his “DHeff” charm attached to it. “He emulated that style—the man with all the beautiful women around him,” SuaveXXX added. “He was real stylish, he dressed well. If he seen a lady he liked, he’d be talking to her hours at a time.” Domineko, who moved to Japan for a few years before returning to California, had been working on developing an app related to the adult industry, SuaveXXX said. Mr. Marcus told AVN that Domineko liked to talk during his scenes. “He was one of the recognizable faces in Black porn during that time,” Mr. Marcus said. “He was consistent. I would see him on set sometimes and at the parties, he was always at all the parties. He always wore his chain and sometimes he would show up to set with his fur coat on.” Mr. Marcus, SuaveXXX & Domineko
