2024 Urban X Awards Presented in Downtown Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES—The 2024 Urban X Awards were presented last night at the Regent Theater in downtown Los Angeles—the climactic event in a weekend packed with festivities celebrating inclusion and diversity in the adult industry with awards voted on by fans. Gritty DTLA was the setting for a glamorous red carpet outside the one-time grindhouse and adult movie theater, now reimagined with the Love Song Bar and Prufrock Pizza flanking the boutique event venue. The whole place was packed with industry members and insiders, as nominees and stars mingled and posed for the media. Double nominee and Marine Corps veteran Sarah Lace was up for Orgasmic Oralist and Most Popular Podcast/Radio Show for her "Misfit Effect" broadcast. When asked what she thinks about the recently viral Hawk Tuah Girl, Lace told AVN, “She hasn’t worked hard enough to make her million!” Transgender Performer of the Year nominee Ariel Demure wore a peach satin corseted dress with a fabulous fur wrap. She quipped that since the “very demure” viral trend on TikTok erupted last week, she’s seen a 3,500% increase in searches across her social media platforms. Latina star and fan favorite Violet Myers was nommed for (and won) Female Performer of the Year and told AVN she had attended the Urban X Lingerie Party, held Friday night at the newly opened Player’s Club (owned by rapper Snoop Dogg’s wife Shante Broadus and her Boss Lady Entertainment). “People really missed something if they didn’t go to that party,” she said, showing off a selfie with the world’s favorite rapper, who briefly attended the event. Spiegler Girl Olivia Jay was nominated for Spectacular Squirting Star. She regretted not being able to attend the other Urban X Weekend parties but had been working on an upcoming scene for Vixen Media’s Slayed label, an all-girl pool party with several starlets including Vanna Bardot. Busy publicist Erika Icon hosted a table near the stage, accompanied by a crew of her clients including starlet Stephanie Love (who eventually took Alt Model of the Year), transgender stars Demure, Brittany Kade, Leilani Li, and popular MILF Penny Barber, who crawled submissively across the stage to receive her MILF Performer of the Year award. “It’s a fan vote, so it’s the biggest honor,” Barber told AVN after claiming her trophy. On-the-rise star Nicole Kitt co-hosted the event with popular performers Carmella Clutch and Charlie B Hustle (who ended up taking home both Female Content Creator of the Year and Hottest Ink Star). Kitt took home the trophy in the Best Actress category. Other industry luminaries that were seen on the scene: Multi-award-winning director Ricky Greenwood was nommed last night for Director of the Year and said he was enjoying the festivities (Alt Erotic’s Ivan took home the trophy) ... 2023 Urban X Female Performer of the Year Avery Jane hosted Winner’s Circle interviews backstage and was nommed for Hottest Fetish Star this year ... Urban X Hall of Fame and 2018 Female Performer of the Year multi-awarded star Ana Foxxx was on fire in an orange dress, repping her Playboy All-Star status accompanied by Playboy affiliate manager Holly Ruprecht ... veteran Hall of Fame male performers Lexington Steele, Mr. Marcus and Marco Banderas each presented awards. The AVN Awards also was honored with the fan-voted Most Popular Industry Award Show trophy. In addition to the Lingerie Party, other events over the course of the weekend included Friday night's Urban X Night of Exxxcellence Hall of Fame Inductee Ceremony, hosted by Urban X Hall of Famers Misty Stone and James Bartholet. Then on Saturday, an afternoon White Party was sponsored by Alt Erotic Models at the Harbor House in DTLA. "I'm very proud of our Urban X Awards,” said Bartholet, also the publicist for the organization. “Since the humble beginnings, it's always been and always will be about unity and creativity" Established in 2008 by adult director Giana Taylor, the event was originally known as the Urban Spice Awards (last awarded in 2012).
