Fresh Faces: Kellie Shin |
This feature appears in the July issue of AVN magazine. Click here for the digital edition. LOS ANGELESâMs. Kellie Shin had been doing mainstream and erotic modeling for many years. âIt was a side gig,â she says. âI was doing high-performance athletic coaching for college athletes. I did commercial modeling for Nike and some erotic nude modeling for photographers through Model Mayhem.â Then Richard Mann saw her on a reality-TV show on the Spike cable channel and invited her to do a scene. âI started to think about doing pornography, and I started with my husbandâthereâs no blueprint for this, I was making it up as I went alongâand Richard saw me and reached out, asked me some questions, and asked me to go to Vegas and shoot with him,â Kellie explains. âSo I go out to Vegas and I shoot with him and a few other people, and I got into this production-event network with Richard and started shooting scenes. I looked at my collection, and I have shot about 67 scenes in the last two years. I call myself The Original Blasian MILF. A lot of people ask me âWhatâs Blasian?â A lot of people still donât know.â Sheâs booking through Model Red Agency, and also books other talent to work along with her in the production events: âWe reach out and see whoâs available, and we get together in a house for a week shooting scenes,â says Shin, who is from Morristown, Tenn. âWe just finished a week-long one in Phoenix. I work both sides, as talent and in production. I do camerawork. I do blowjobs and camerawork. I do both,â she adds with a laugh. Her highest-profile commercial scene was working with Dorian Del Isla for Dogfartâs We Fuck Black Girls site: âHe is so hot, super hot. I had a great time, and the scenes I had shot before with Richard helped me get ready for that professional shoot. I look at Richard as a mentor.â âI like sex, and sexuality, and I think itâs cool that I can work in a place like this. People look at our field and they just see it as sex. Itâs like a movie. You have a script, and a thought process. Being on time, knowing what positions to be in. Everyone isnât going to like me, and Iâm not going to like everyone, but we have to work together and get the scene done. Iâve met people that maybe I donât care too much for, but I still like them as a person. I havenât met anyone whoâs a real asshole...yet.â Photography by @kogafoto
