Idaho Gov. Brad Little Signs Age Verification Bill Into Law |
BOISE, IdahoâBrad Little, the Republican governor of Idaho, on Thursday signed House Bill (HB) 498 into law, implementing the U.S.'s next state-level age verification law. According to Gov. Little's office, HB 498 was one of dozens of bills adopted by the governor from the latest legislative session. HB 498 was signed in a batch of other bills, giving it very little fanfare and notice from local news media. Lawmakers in the Idaho Senate voted unanimously recently to adopt House Bill (HB) 498, which was proposed by Republican state Reps. Elaine Price and Julianne Young. The House of Representatives unanimously adopted the measure on February 14. The law enters force on July 1, 2024.
