This Week on Adult Site Broker Talk: Gibson Allman of Pornstar Metrics

Allman is an expert in data analytics and the founder of Pornstar Metrics, which launched in 2018. Allman said he started the company to “explore untapped data monetization potential in the adult entertainment industry.”

The company’s new project, MARaiYA, is described as an “innovative chatbot designed to deepen connections between fans and content creators.” MARaiYA was launched in October of last year.

Noting that when it comes to AI, “the image piece of this in the adult industry has been around for a while,” Allman told Bruce MARaiYA is “a little bit different” to what other AI projects are bringing to the table.

“This is about language,” Allman said. “This is about text information. Images of course are a huge part of it as is video, but the core of this thing that I was looking at, based upon my experience, was that also because it’s data of a different variety.”

Allman added that while MARaiYA resembles some of the large language models which have been in the news lately (like ChatGPT) and is “going to be an intelligent chat agent,” his company’s project is different from the mainstream AI models.

“She’s going to be specialized,” Allman said of MARaiYA. “She’s not going to be able to write you a paper about the founding of the United States or anything like that. Nor do you want her to. What you want to do with her is you want to ask her questions about how she’s going to be an intelligent adult. What you want to do with her is you want to ask her questions about certain adult entertainers.”

Allman explained the “reason why you want to do that and the intent of the entire chat experience here is to help the content creators, which are now the hottest and the highest growth area it appears within the adult entertainment space.” Allman added that within the industry, the power in the industry seems to be “pivoting” from large production companies “more to the individual creators.”

“There’s a twist to this coming down the line. They have the power now,” Allman said, referring to content creators.

“Gibson and I had a very interesting chat,” Bruce said of his latest guest. “His platform is a real asset to our industry.”
