Nominee Voting Opening for the Sexual Freedom Awards |
LONDONâThe 28th Annual Sexual Freedom Awards will be held in London on Thursday, May 22, 2024, and voting is now open for nominees. Categories range across all sectors of the sexual wellness space, from Agency of the Year to Sex Worker of the Year, Ally of the Year, and more. The Sexual Freedom Awards promote people within the sexual wellness world, from excellence in erotic performance to services that support sex workers, with voting for nominees that is open to the public. On top of giving a platform and recognition to these individuals, the awards also give back to those who make a difference in the space. All proceeds of the awards ceremony go towards the Outsiders Trustâa charity that supports disabled people in their sexual freedom and expression. The Sexual Freedom Awards (originally named the International Erotic Awards) were founded by Tuppy Owens and became renowned not only for the achievements of sex workers and brands but also for its golden flying penis trophies, hand carved by craftspeople in Bali. Val Clarke, winner of Volunteer of the Year in 2017 and now closely involved with the organization, said, âThe Sexual Freedom Awards highlight the incredible work from performers, activists, publicists and everyone across this amazing industry. To reach its 28th award ceremony is outstanding. Every year we are delighted to evolve the categories as the industry continues to grow and expand. The calibre of nominees is a testament to the acceptance and freedom we are starting to experience although there are still areas for which we need to campaign. Sexual Freedom includes everyone, and being able to raise money each year to help those with disabilities have a fulfilling sex life, if they want it, is something that I hope continues to happen in 20, 30, 50 years.â Previous winners include ally Silva Neves, sex talks host Emma-Louise Boynton, and activists Hookers Against Hardship. The Shepherds Bush-based ceremony has also hosted finalists including YouTube star Hannah Witton, activist Lou Featherstone, and founder of sexual wellness PR agency Little Leaf, Kathryn Byberg. For a chance to spend the evening with activists and game-changers within the sexual wellness world, and potentially win a golden flying penis, nominate now at sexualfreedomawards.co.uk/make-a-nomination. Voting closes on Dec. 30, 2023.Â
