Fresh Faces: Mina Luxx

LOS ANGELES—Mina Luxx remembers hearing the same comment from directors when she started making the rounds through Porn Valley a year ago: “Hopefully you stay.” “I was like, ‘Why wouldn’t I stay? Do people get in this and do a few scenes and just leave?’” Mina recalls. “If I’m going to jump into something this big I’m going to stay in it and make the most out of it.” So far, so good for the 21-year-old, Laotian beauty from Charlotte, N.C., who is represented by Motley Models. Luxx, who celebrated her one-year anniversary in porn on May 2, tells AVN she launched her XXX career “at a perfect time” heading into the summer of 2022. “The first month or two that I was in the business there was so much going on, so many industry events and I got a good feel how the industry really is,” Mina says. She also got a feel for what she likes. “I mostly get excited when the camera’s in front of my face and they flip the viewfinder so I can see myself,” Mina reveals. “It turns me on so much more if I can just watch myself… I turn into a whole different person.” A natural performer, Luxx did her first scene with seasoned veteran Tee Reel for NetVideoGirls, acing the assignment—and she hasn’t looked back. “My emotions were all over the place, not just because I’m about to have sex on camera for the first time, just because traveling from North Carolina to LA was so chaotic for me,” Mina admits. “But that took away all the nerves from actually doing my scene. “It was really fun… I enjoyed it and they actually brought me back twice on their site.” The former cheerleader—she was a flyer—tells AVN she never had an Instagram, Twitter or OnlyFans before adult. Now she has almost 73,000 followers on Instagram, another 64K-plus on Twitter and her OnlyFans has become a place where she always “aims to please.” Luxx at press time had more than 60 scenes on her growing resume. “When Mina’s application came through our site, I was first impressed by her polished and stunningly beautiful appearance,” says Motley Models owner Dave Rock. “The photos she provided showed off a super pretty smile and great natural figure. “When we connected on a video call, I quickly realized those photos didn’t have filters. She was the real deal. As our conversation went on and I explained how the agency works, I was also impressed with her ability to ask insightful questions, showcasing her business acumen. We were excited to welcome Mina into the Motley family.” Rock continues, “Right from the start, Mina made a strong impression. Her exceptional work ethic, reliability and professionalism have made her a sought-after talent among the top studios. While she is known for her fiery performances on set, we consistently receive compliments about her wonderful personality and infectious laugh. “The sky is the limit for someone like Mina. She checks all the boxes for what studios look for when casting for their brands.” That includes Jules Jordan, who shot Luxx in the springtime. Shooting for the Hall of Fame producer/director Jordan became a full circle moment for Luxx, who came across a couple JJV DVDs back in the day. “I didn’t know that some companies still made DVD hard covers and I saw Jules Jordan had posted one and it brought back so many memories of when I was younger,” she says. “Now here I am working with him. It made me feel even more in place. Like this feels right, this is where I’m supposed to be right now and I’m glad that I did it.” Luxx also has credits for Jonni Darkko, Brazzers, Vixen, Blacked, Nubiles, New Sensations, Team Skeet, CherryPimps, BAM Vision and WankzVR, among others. “I’m really happy with how far I’ve come. I think this is only just the beginning,” Luxx tells AVN. “This was only supposed to be like a stepping stone for me to do other things like mainstream modeling and acting. I’m just really happy with where I’m at right now. “I have a lot of fun when I’m on set with people and I feel really free. So I don’t want to stop.” A former server at a sushi restaurant and masseuse in Charlotte, Luxx recalls seeing porn before she got into the industry and fantasizing. “And I remember just looking at those women and being like wow, I want to do that, that looks like a lot of fun,” Mina says. “And I just really idolized those women and I was like, I want to do this one day.” But she says just the thought of it seemed out of reach due to her “sheltered” life on the East Coast. Burned out from her jobs and wanting more, Luxx started researching talent agencies. “None of them really stood out to me like Motley did,” Luxx says. “I just liked how Dave presented all the girls on the website. And the events that they hosted and the companies that they worked with. “I really paid attention to that and Motley just seemed like the best fit for me. And I applied online and I get a call that same day from [agent Ryan Kona] and he’s like, ‘Yeah, we want you.’ “I’m like OK. I’m really nervous because I didn’t think anyone would call me the very first day.” She decided to take the leap, moving across the country with her two Bengal cats—Atlas and Nova—to start a new life in LA. “I had come to LA a year before for a quick weekend trip for vacation. I thought it was really cool coming here for vacation but living here is so different,” Mina says. “I would have never even thought that I would even live in LA. Like I was stuck in North Carolina in a really small town. I never thought I would get myself out of there. But eventually I did.” Luxx says the only porn star she watched regularly before she got into adult was Owen Gray, with whom she already has worked for his site DeepLush.com. “It was super exciting for me,” she says. “I was so nervous. I felt like it was the first time for me. I didn’t tell him that I was a fan girl. I think he could tell that I was a little bit nervous but it was really good.” Nowadays Mina doesn’t shy away from projects that require more than just showing up and performing a sex scene. In fact, she welcomes them. “I really like working with Missa X,” Luxx says. “I just did a scene with them [in May] and it was like an 18-page script. It was probably one of the longest ones that I’ve had, but it was really fun. “I like to be challenged a little bit.” The rising new starlet also did a feature for recently retired director Axel Braun that has yet to be released. “That was a lot of fun. That was an all-day shoot. I really like the long challenging ones,” she adds. “I feel like it exercises my brain a little bit more. I like for there to be a good storyline, so I can play into the role. “I also want to take acting classes this summer so I can become a better actor.” It turns out Mina is also a natural cam girl—she debuted on Chaturbate on May 31, telling viewers how she likes to be submissive and loves squirting in her scenes. “If god could show me how much cum I got out of people from doing porn, I don’t know, I might stay in this forever,” Luxx joked on cam. “I would feel like I’m doing good in the world.” When Mina isn’t working, she likes cooking Italian food, doing projects around her house and hanging with her cats, who are one year apart. She loves rap music, especially Future, and also Lucki. “It changes a lot, just whatever I’m feeling for the week,” Luxx says. She also pulls a lot of inspiration from her aunt. “I think she’s a really good woman and all she’s ever told me my entire life is to just do what makes me happy,” Mina says. “And I didn’t start listening to that until about two years ago.” As she looks ahead, Luxx says she would love to shoot in Europe. “It’s always been a dream of mine to work for Dorcel and be flown out abroad and to film and to just make art with my work,” she tells AVN. “I feel like once I’ve been able to do that I will feel like I made it. “Because when I started in the industry I knew that I would have to do a lot of porny, taboo scenes. That’s just part of it—which I don’t mind—but I want my work to be art. “I want my work to be really sensual and really, really seductive and I just want to be able to make something out of that.”
