Digital Playground Unveils 'Machine Gunner' |
LOS ANGELESâDigital Playground on Thursday unveiled its new feature Machine Gunner, an action-filled military epic about a black ops group on the hunt for a dangerous deserter. Episode 1 will begin streaming on DigitalPlayground.com on June 12. Directed by Ricky Greenwood, Machine Gunner stars AVN Female Performer of the Year Kira Noir, flanked by a large ensemble cast that includes Kayley Gunner, Nicole Doshi, Luna Star, Isiah Maxwell, Damon Dice, Scott Nails, Charles Dera, Alex Jones, and Tommy Pistol. âMachine Gunner is a very special movie for me on a personal and professional level, the biggest and most challenging movie Iâve ever directed,â says Greenwood. âEvery day on set, I felt like I was directing my dream movie, having the privilege of working with the best performers in the business, creating something unique and different for the porn industry. Iâm excited for audiences to see how much fun we had with this movie, to see how much work that Kira and all the cast and crew put into it." The film follows a clandestine military unit led by steely Nikki Ransom (Kira Noir) on the hunt for Colonel Riggs (Alex Jones), a senior officer who has gone more than AWOL, all the way over to the dark side. To make matters more complicated, Riggs just so happens to be Ransomâs ex, and she is forced to balance her loyalty to country with the lust she still feels for Riggs. âWorking on Machine Gunner was a crazy intense experience,â says Noir. âI really enjoyed being able to play Nikki Ransom, a character who was tough, wisecracking, and sexually confident. I got to do action sequences I didnât think I could pull off at first. At one point, I even gave a blowjob while partially suspended upside down, and thatâs not even the wildest scene! Special shout out to Nathan Bronson and the stunt team that taught us how to do amazing fight choreography.â âThis role was tailor-made for Kira Noir,â says a Digital Playground rep. âSheâs in peak physical and sexual form, an exceptional performer at the top of her game. When we were writing this script, we just knew it had to be Kira.â Alex Jones, who plays the diabolical Riggs, had a blast getting into character. âItâs funny, âcause Iâm usually cast as the good guy, so playing the bad guy for once was a challenge, but definitely fun,â he says. Ransomâs ragtag unit is rounded out by Rena Lockett (Kayley Gunner), Maggie Tombs (Nicole Doshi), Carl Dremmer (Isiah Maxwell) and Jimmy Cruz (Damon Dice). âMachine Gunner has been my favorite project I worked on this year. There was tons of effort from so many people who came together and made this happen,â says Maxwell. His co-star Kayley Gunner agrees. âI absolutely loved every minute on set,â she says. âI personally have a military background, which felt very similar to my character. All the castâs performances were next level, and Ricky Greenwoodâs crew did an amazing job capturing our characters. Iâm beyond excited for everyone to experience Machine Gunner.â âIâm honored to be part of Machine Gunnerânot just working with an amazing director like Ricky, but also a very big cast,â says Nicole Doshi. âI look so badass shooting a gun like a real soldier.â Enemy forces include the diabolical Daytona (Luna Star) and henchmen Bailey and Voss (Nails and Dera), who stop at nothing to interfere with Ransomâs orders. âThis was one of the best experiences Iâve had in this industry,â Luna Star says. âIt marks a before and after in my career. It was such a great script, with crazy explosions and gunfire. Ricky Greenwood made me look so badassâand I loved that they let us have sex in character! I always try to do new positions and come up with more artistic ways to have sex. Everyone worked hard on this, everyone needs to watch it!â âHands down, the most fun Iâve had on set,â adds veteran talent Scott Nails. âThe girls, the guns, the actionâDP just raised the bar to a whole new level.â The company indicated that "In true summer blockbuster form, Machine Gunner doesnât skimp on the action." Assisted by stunt coordinator Nathan Bronson, Greenwood pulled out the big guns with lots of props, stunts, and practical effects. âI became a fan of Digital Playground with movies like Top Guns and Code of Honor,â says Greenwood. âI was lucky enough to be friends with Robby D, who directed those movies, and unfortunately, he passed away in 2021. This was my way to pay homage to his work and respect my dear friend. I want the audience to have fun and enjoy the movie the way Iâve enjoyed the great work of Digital Playground for so many years.â âRobby was an inspirational big brother to male performers,â Charles Dera says. âIt was an honor to work on the movie.â The four-part feature will release throughout the months of June and July with the first scene premiering on June 12.
