Vanessa Sky, Lucky Fate Lead Finale of Gamble's 'Privilege'

LOS ANGELES—The grand finale of Seth Gamble’s series Privilege, 'Empty Pursuit Of Money,' debuts today on wicked.com. Produced by Axel Braun and featuring Vanessa Sky and Lucky Fate, Privilege is an eight-scene feature built atop a solid storytelling foundation and an eclectic cast led by industry veteran Evan Stone.  Set in the Machiavellian world of the mega-rich, Privilege is the story of towering family patriarch Alexander Nash (Stone), who rules his family with an iron fist and a soft spot for his youngest daughter (April Olsen). He's in the middle of a huge deal that he can't let anyone sabotage, from his duplicitous ex-wife (Luna) to his gold-digging new bride (Julia Ann), who has her eye on his money...and his beloved son Liam (Nathan Bronson). Meanwhile, Nash's other son Lucas (Lucky Fate), a compulsive gambler, puts the entire family empire in jeopardy through sheer ineptitude. As Nash's personal saga unfolds, the torrid sex lives of his family come to light in a chain of events that will expose more dirty laundry than anyone has bargained for...  “Whether I’m creating the final installment of an all-sex movie or a narrative series like Deranged, Privilege, or my upcoming series Reckless, I always try to put myself in the emotional headspace of the viewer,” Gamble, the reigning AVN Male Performer of the Year and Gamma contract performer, revealed of the thought process behind 'Empty Pursuit Of Money.' “In the case of an eight episode series like Privilege, I keep in mind that fans get to know the characters as if they were friends. This creates a bond and it’s the reason why we can feel betrayed when an ending payoff doesn’t deliver, especially when a show ends on a false note rather than one that makes sense. Whether we loved them or hated them, we want to see where the characters end up. So when it feels like we have to guess, there’s an emptiness. It makes what came before ring hollow. Aside from not providing closure, another way to ruin a series finale is an unexpected twist, especially when the characters completely diverge from behaviors seen before. "What I keep in mind while writing is that audiences want to watch a finale that confirms that everything leading up to this point wasn’t for nothing. If viewers feel like what they invested in did not matter, satisfaction goes out the window. Consistency in the writing and in the way the characters are brought to life by the performers is key.” “In 'Empty Pursuit Of Money,' I couldn’t have asked for better people, from Evan Stone’s commanding, yet introspective performance as Alexander Nash down to Lucky Fate as his impulsive, troublemaking son Lucas. And I can’t say enough good things about Vanessa Sky. She was an AVN Best Actress nominee this year, so obviously she was going to hit her role’s dramatic arc out of the park, but she was just as effective at bringing empathy and intimacy to her scene with Lucky. They were both complete professionals who brought energy, passion, and heat to the sex. It’s the final scene and one of the very best scenes in the entire series.”   Of the project’s large ensemble cast, the filmmaker observed, “Performing is an art form, and behind every character in Privilege is an artist expressing themselves. What makes this series so special was the chance to pair the incredible new talents in our community alongside Evan and Julia Ann, who, as Alexander’s cunning new wife, was every bit his equal in the presence, experience, and professionalism she brought to her role. And Ryan Driller conveyed real intelligence through a character who could have seemed unsympathetic in the hands of a less gifted actor.” Of his newer players, the director enthused, “From the charm and skill of Tyler Cruise, Damon Dice, Oliver Davis, and Nathan Bronson, to the beauty, talent, and charisma Lilly Bell, Vanna Bardot, Freya Parker, Lexi Luna, and April Olsen brought to their roles, each performer made a bold choice and stuck with it. The decisions each of them made in the moment were the essence of naturalism. That’s a rarity in any film, porn or mainstream, much less one with an ensemble cast that unites Hall of Fame living legends, the top stars of today, and the superstars of tomorrow.”    At its core, Gamble sees Privilege as a family saga. “Because the project was focused on individual identities, the actors playing the Nash family leapt at the chance to fully express their quirks and nuances. Evan, Julia, April, Nathan, and Lucky represented two sides of a generational coin. In his most famous roles, Evan expresses his individuality like he’s a stand-up giving the greatest ‘tight five’ of his life. Here, he wasn't looking for the laughs in every line. As the audience, we can infer this seriousness to be a defense mechanism for the personal struggles he faces within his family and his business. And though practically every scene introduces us to new characters orbiting the Nash dynasty, with each of these scenes Lexi, Vanna, Lilly, Freya, Damon, Vanessa, and Oliver created relationships that became showcases for the exceptional talent in our industry today.” Up next for Gamble? Scene One of Goddess featuring Kenna James, Ivy Wolfe, and Gamble. Coming March 31st, the release is a mythology-based cinemacore production.
