Ron Jeremy's Sister Asks That He Be Placed Under Conservatorship

LOS ANGELES—Susan Billotte, the sister of disgraced porn legend Ron Jeremy, has filed a petition asking that attorney Ellen Finkelberg be appointed as a conservator to him as he awaits transfer to a California mental health facility, TMZ reports. Jeremy in early February was found unfit to stand trial in the 30-count case against him for rape and other sexual misconduct spanning decades. The Los Angeles District Attorney said at the time that Jeremy was being committed to a state-run mental health hospital, where he could be held for up to two years. According to Billotte's filing, Jeremy is "concurrently incarcerated at the Twin Towers-Mens Central Jail. He has been found incompetent to stand trial in a criminal case due to a diagnosis with symptoms of Lewy body dementia and has a pending transfer to a state hospital." The document goes on to note that the need for a conservator to make decisions about Jeremy's health care and finances is urgent to ensure that he's sent to a "private secured perimeter facility specializing in treatment of dementia."
