MFC's Kasara Wood Featured in March Issue of CAMStar

LOS ANGELES—Kasara Wood tells AVN she got into camming “accidentally” in the summer of 2019. An exotic dancer for most of her adult life, Wood also worked as an assistant to nurse practitioners and therapists in the psych world while sometimes taking classes with her sights set on that industry herself. Then she met Nikki Eliot at a party and everything changed. “She spoke to me about camming, the freedom it allowed, the growth, creativity and community,” Kasara recalls. “I wanted more control on my brand and what made me happy, so I felt it was a perfect switch.” Nikki invited Kasara to join her for a special 4/20 show she was doing, even though Wood rarely smoked weed. “But as a natural performer I had to partake,” Kasara says with a laugh. “I was sooo gone!” That was the day she started her profile on MyFreeCams—and the rest now is part of live-camming history. In this exclusive Q&A for CAMStar accompanied by 12 pages of photography by Eliot, the 2023 nominee for Favorite Cam Girl and Favorite Creator Site Star for the 2023 AVN Awards discusses what she’s learned on her camming journey, her exploration of BDSM, practicing yoga, her favorite tattoos and her greatest achievement so far, plus much more. KW: I think starting as a dancer was really useful. It taught me a lot about how to listen but also how to read what people needed. It also taught me a lot about who I am, what my worth is, and what my boundaries are… and of course all of that brought me into my confidence. Being confident doesn’t mean you never feel like shit or doubt yourself. It just means that you know your boundaries and you know who you are and you're not going to let someone else injure that (even yourself). So you have discipline to be good to you and move through the motion of “confidence” even if that day you don’t feel that way. Because emotions are fleeting and practice and discipline are not. I guess in a way I am saying I am glad I did dancing first! If you don’t like any part of that I don’t know if you will like the adult industry at all and camming takes much more confidence and much more discipline… You are your own boss no one is gonna fire you or mark you up if you don’t show up or follow through, just like no one’s gonna pat you on the back for doing those things. There are rewards, but it’s not instant. It’s earned. If you can muster that then the rest of cam is trial and error… But I think you have to be a lover and YES that came naturally.  How did you come up with your awesome MFC profile design—and your monthly calendar? It’s funny cause I think sometimes I put wayyyyy tooo much on it and am wayyyyyy too wordy of a bitch! But that’s me, I like to be thorough and I want to take everything that sparks joy in me with me! The esthetic is just me I guess. I keep what month is happening and what I have planned I mind… but I’ve always been into design, ESPECIALLY FASHION! The calendar is my own but I have a friend help me put all the coding in for the website cause I’m the worst cam girl when it comes to tech! How do you use MFC Share? Which clips have been your most popular and why? I tend to be annoying about my Share and my Whiteboard. It wasn’t until recently that I found out most girls don’t change theirs that much. I change mine EVERY MONTH! I update my MFC Share with new deals, new videos and photo sets EVERY MONTH! And I vault a lot of things up after a rank month, which is why I stress that people get it when it’s HOT, so to speak. I change my Whiteboard once a month and each day put what’s going on for the show and daily deals on the Whiteboard (this is a note for all of those gents who don’t look…I’m watching you). Some of my bestsellers have been Lilith, Starbucks Girl and Arctic Fox Gets a Hole Lot of Anal. I think Lilith is because it’s about seduction, lots of oil and wax and I’m wearing black (a crowd favorite); there is lots of riding and dirty talk and as a switch when I do stuff that’s a little bit more dominant or aggressive, I am still soft and submissive, which leads even my super Dom Daddy’s to enjoy. PLUS Nikki Eliot filmed this beautifully! Starbucks girl is a POV of a drive-thru at your favorite coffee spot but I invite you in because your personal cup can’t go through the drive thru. Really I’ve just been scoping you out for months and want to FUCK YOU! Again that aggressive kinda crazy girl type I WANT YOU! I love doing stuff in that role because that’s so me… I can be a bit forward sometimes, come on really strong! Then Arctic Fox! SOO SO CUTE! I love to do cosplay with movie characters or my own character Arctic Fox being one of my own… I am really into pet play and I think a lot of my fans are. I also only drop a few anal videos a year and this one had me bent and folded in LOTS of positions! How would you describe your affinity for BDSM? What kind of BDSM do you prefer? I started exploring BDSM awhile ago but I think I’ve always been very curious about it. I like the exchange of power that happens, the trust and love that goes into the surrender and the control. To me it’s about care and really attuning yourself to your partner’s needs in both directions and really deepening your communication. I love bondage or anything super compressing. I've been loving bondage tape because I like the feeling sometimes more than rope (it’s warmer)… I LOVE the violet wand and electric play… and wax play. Those are some of my favorites! But I also love degradation and spit and anything that’s totally degrading and primitive. I know I have my own limits on certain words and the strength of impact play but I love the exploration of it all! I think the biggest thing I take away from BDSM is the exchange—the play between control and release, submission and dominance. … I guess I’d put pet play in there, too, and that’s one of my favorites… Me usually as the pet (bunny, kitty or pony), but if I am master I love to have my own little slut puppy.  What advice would you give a new cam model trying to establish herself? Discipline and practice. Don’t give up. Set monthly, quarterly and yearly goals. KNOW YOUR BOUNDARIES! KNOW YOUR WORTH! Don’t be bullied or mansplained things. There are plenty of other gents out there that will like you, respect you and value you! AND MOST OF ALL, GIVE A FUCK about the people you are interacting with and exchanging with. If you ONLY care about the money or the tip in the end, then you are in the wrong career… You will burn out quickly and you will feel purposeless. You have to really, really LOVE and hopefully be a positive and necessary in the people’s lives you come across.   How did you incorporate the pole into your CAMStar photoshoot? I was really excited to do this and Nikki helped me kind of come up with some stuff… I wanted to make sure that my personality came across, that you could kinda see who I was through just the photos—in case you didn’t want to read my wordiness LOL. So I started with some yoga (I’m a certified RYT yoga teacher). Then got out on that pole in the dust and cool wind of the dried lake bed in Vegas and moved for what would look good on the camera.  What are your hobbies or interests outside of camming?  TOOOOOO MANY! LOL no I really love working out… So weightlifting, hiking, pole dancing, yoga, dance … That’s a big area of my life and then if I have time I love to sew and read and write. Then if I have time from there—travel, camp, and shopping! LOL some people wouldn’t consider shopping a hobby, but I really am passionate about clothes and style! I love when someone just really rocks something because it has meaning in their life and to their expression of self!  How often do you practice yoga and when did you learn? I started when I was 16 on and off but started taking it seriously at 23 and was certified when I was 24. … I use to practice daily, sometimes twice a day. … Then COVID hit and I stopped practicing for two years (BIGGEST regret). Now I’m getting back into it again and aim for three times a week with daily stretching … baby steps getting back into a flow. I think part of it is that I really value having a studio I feel at home in and right now I just practice on my own… I’m an Ashtanga student originally so the practice can be done at home as it’s the same routine each time. But having guidance is just helpful and really adds to the spiritual surrender. For me it’s not just the asana practice, it’s really a spiritual way I like to live.  What inspired your official Kasara Wood gear—your shirts and accessories?  Well I love red and black… I’m also a bit of an anti-establishment, anarchist-type person already. LOL I don’t know, I guess just my filthy mind. I really want to do more and start doing girls’ clothes but all in time, I suppose. What are some of your favorite tattoos and what do they mean to you?That’s hard cause I consider most of my tattoos as one and will hopefully be one when I’m done. But right now I would say the stilted dodecahedron on the inside of my arm and then the skeleton and hand pinky promising on the bottom of my back. The sacred geometry piece on my arm represents the portal between your heart and third eye chakra and I think carry a significance into the way I like to move through my life and how I wish to tune myself to my perception of reality. It’s also something I am at constant practice to keep in tune. The hands at the bottom of my back started after a very long and very intense relationship ended. The years before that I had gone through a lot of personal trials and a lot of loss and it was supposed to represent only having yourself in this world. Coming in alone and leaving alone and you better make right with yourself, know yourself, and honor yourself because that’s your home from now till the day you die. It was originally supposed to be a new age tramp stamp, but the original artist made it way too big and I ended up deciding it looked off. So I contacted Tom Maggot in the UK to make me a whole back piece.  Name someone who inspires you and why? It’s hard picking one person, because I think my KULT and my top gents like my Daddy’s and Masters all really have a BIG influence on me as a whole and individually. But I suppose if I was picking someone on the outside… I’d choose artists like Ghostemane and Lil Peep, and $uicideboy$… and as cliche as it sounds, Friedrich Nietzsche. If I was choosing my biggest Influence on myself I’d say my Dad.  Name two or three of your best strengths. What are you truly great at? I am never out of ideas, so creativity, persevering. I have had a lot of shit thrown my way—it would be hard to take me down. And silliness because it’s important to be able to take some things lightly, be flexible, be light-hearted, be silly, laugh at yourself and be OK making mistakes cause really it’s our perception that makes it negative.  What is your greatest achievement so far? DAMN that’s hard. I’d say getting No. 1 in April 2021! But I think that was me, the Kult and especially Daddy Demon! He was determined and that was BIG. You need people in your corner rooting you on.
