Fresh Faces: Eva Nyx

LOS ANGELES—Eva Nyx taught special education during her senior year in her home state of Washington, but while she found it rewarding, she wanted something more. “And the school year ended and I moved to California and needed to do something different,” explains Nyx, who graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and minor in Sociology. “While I did enjoy teaching, it was really emotionally taxing. “I just needed some change in my life. … I needed to branch out and do something fun for myself.” Nyx tells AVN she always had an interest in the adult industry “from all angles.” So she started doing her research, learning about the possibilities she had if she were to become a performer like the ones she was following. “I liked their success on and off the internet—as much I could understand from a fan point of view—and I felt like I had similar confidence,” says Eva, who notes that one of the creators she looked up to was Lena the Plug. “As far as I knew these girls seemed happy and they’re making a lot of money. And I thought that I’ve been working this regular teaching job for a full year now—I love it and but I hate it.” She reached out to Hussie Models and within two days of moving to the Bay Area in November, she was booked for a shoot with NetVideoGirls in Los Angeles. “It all happened pretty fast,” Nyx says. “I shot for NetVideoGirls for my first shoot and my first shoot went really well and they hired me for another two days.  “I got the hang of it pretty fast.” Did she ever. Not long after that, she went to Miami, acing her shoots there—and then she said to herself, “Alright, I can do this.” “I was just really excited because it was something I’d never done before,” Nyx says. “And the people you meet in the industry, there’s all different types of characters. “I’ve been introduced to such passionate people in the industry, which I had never experienced in my life before.” Nyx’s agent, Ryan Hussie, tells AVN he didn’t hesitate for a moment when he saw her inquiry pop in. “It was like 11 p.m. when I got the email notification of Eva’s application,” Ryan recalls. “I believe I quickly shot her a text and next thing, we were on the phone. This girl is like the Fourth of July—her attitude and energy for being on camera is unmatched. “I haven’t met anyone in a long time that pushes to work so much like her. I knew from the jump she would get booked right out the gate. I told her back then that she’s taking a gamble on me and vice versa but ‘I promise, I got you!’ Haven’t looked back since. “She’s going places!” Nyx says when it came to her first shoot, she wasn’t nervous at all. “I was super excited to be there. I was just really ready,” Eva says. “Honestly, I feel like teaching and being in front of people listening to you all the time is similar to being in front of a camera in a way.” She estimates she’s done about 25 scenes so far, even though the majority have yet to be released. Among the studios who already have captured Nyx are Reality Kings, Team Skeet, Wankz, Brazzers, Bang!, Naughty America. Lethal Hardcore, CherryPimps and SexLikeReal. Nyx says now she’s begun making the rounds that she has learned the industry is “a lot bigger and more detailed than I had ever realized.” “I feel like most people might assume that it’s just sex, but it’s a lot more than that and I appreciate now knowing that people are really passionate about filming or directing or creating these really cool videos or pictures or outfits,” Eva continues. “I think it’s really great how creative people are. “It’s like super cool to be me every time I step on set.” The 21-year-old starlet—she’ll turn 22 on April 22—points to her Brazzers scene in Las Vegas as one of her favorites to date. “I think it was called ‘The Couch Humper’ or something,” Eva says, noting her scene partners were Van Wylde and Penny Barber. “They flew me out from LA and it was quick and easy.” Nyx’s second Brazzers scene was with Cassie Del Isla, Mandy Bright and Jay Romero in Los Angeles. “It was a crazy spa day thing. I had five gallons of lotion dumped on my head,” she says with a laugh. Nyx reveals she already told her family about her porn career and “they’re supportive.” She started an OnlyFans during her junior year of college “to experiment,” but she wasn’t marketing it. “I was doing pretty well, I had the time then,” Eva says. “I had 40 subscribers, but I didn’t really post my OnlyFans on anything. It was just people in the local area who knew about it.” An excellent athlete, she played point guard on the basketball team in high school, leading her squad to the state championship as a senior. She says she never worried about what anyone thought in high school, where she sometimes juggled four boyfriends at the same time. “It never phased me whatever anyone really thought about me,” Eva says. “It helped me become a leader on my basketball team. I didn’t mind what other teams thought, I was there to win… I was taught to never be ashamed of anything.” After high school she refereed youth basketball for a while and then became a front desk receptionist at a gym. When her last Twitter account got suspended, she made sure her new one—@rimreaper247—wasn’t connected to her stage name. “I’ve always been pretty perverted my entire life,” Eva jokes. At press time she had just recovered her @rimreaper247 Twitter from a suspension after creating a backup at @lillmissnoteva. Now as she looks ahead, she wants to take her porn career as far as she can. “At first I didn’t know what direction I wanted to take it but after AVN and the new year I’m excited to become more successful and be as big as I can be,” Nyx says. “I’m looking forward to the new year and working for more companies and meeting tons of awesome people and gaining insight and knowledge about what can make me a better performer.” In her spare time, Nyx plays video games such as Call of Duty, War Zone and Battle Royale games.
