Fresh Faces: Lila Love

A version of this feature appears in the September issue of AVN magazine.   LOS ANGELES — Adult newcomer Lila Love reveals that someday she wants to start her own rabbit sanctuary. “Not any time soon, but when my life slows down I want to create a rabbit rescue because I think it’s the right thing to do,” Love, who takes care of three pet rabbits at her home in Tampa, Fla., tells AVN. “A lot of rabbits are abused and mistreated because a lot of people don’t understand them. “I want to help save as many rabbits as I can.” Love says Peanut, Mini and Simon are “my babies.” “I love them,” she adds. “I got them all last year, so I became obsessed with rabbits after I got my first rabbit.” But before she gets into the bunny business, Lila wants to see where the adult industry takes her after getting off to a sizzling start this summer. The performer at press time was preparing for her next trip to the West Coast for another round of shooting, lining up bookings with Nubiles, Team Skeet and PornPros, all in Las Vegas. She estimates she’s shot about 15 scenes since her first one in May—a solo for FTVGirls in Arizona. Her first scene with a guy came in June with Tyler Nixon for ExploitedCollegeGirls.com. “I was really nervous at the beginning of that one but when it started I had a really good time,” Love says, adding that she didn’t know who the veteran stud Nixon was before the scene. “Overall that was really fun. I was happy because it went well, I really wasn’t sure beforehand.” Love tried webcamming for the first time in January on Chaturbate, a move that led to her being discovered by her agency Zen Models. She recalls reading an article about how webcamming could be a lucrative career and deciding to try it. “I was using the camera on my laptop the first night, but I made a bunch of money so I went out and bought a [webcam],” Lila says. “I did a lot of solo performing on Chaturbate, it always was fun and not too stressful.” She also did a few boy/girl cam shows with an ex. “I wasn’t used to it and didnt know how to go about it but I liked camming altogether,” she says. It was while she was on Chaturbate in April that she received interest from Zen Models. “Somebody contacted me through a private session and I thought it was questionable at first, but after I called my agent I realized it was a legit thing and I’m always for trying new things when it comes to career options,” Lila says. “I thought I would take the jump and try it out.” So far, so good. “I love it, I love the job,” says Lila, who is 22 with her birthday coming up on Oct. 14. “I think it’s really fun. Every day is something new and that’s always exciting. I’m excited to see where it takes me.” Now three months later, Lila says she’s learned a lot. “I definitely feel like I’m learning more quickly compared to my first scene when I was really nervous and didn’t know what I was doing. Now when I get on set, I feel more confident in myself and my performance,” she says. Love will be featured in an upcoming issue of Hustler’s Barely Legal magazine in addition to several scenes for Porn Pros. She also has credits for SpankMonster with Donnie Cabo and BBCSurprise with Isiah Maxwell. She had heard of Maxwell through Twitter. “That one was very new for me because well, I don’t how to say this… He has a very large penis,” Love says. “I wasn’t used to it... It went better than I expected.” Lila adds, “Well I was expecting it to not work out because I have a very tiny body, so I was pleasantly surprised with myself in that shoot. … He’s a great guy, really nice.” Love, who is from Connecticut, stripped at a club in Tampa before adult. She danced at a place that required the girls to wear pasties—but sometimes she flashed a bit more. “It was exciting but also a lot of work,” says Love, who quit stripping in late 2021. “It wasn’t really my style but I had fun.” Prior to dancing at the club, she attended a university for two different stints. “I was in college back when I was 17 and then again when I was 19. I studied biology the first time and business the second time,” she says. Lila says she had a bunch of jobs in high school “that only lasted one day at a time.” “I was never a fan of working,” she admits. “I would show up and if I just didn’t like it and the atmosphere wasn’t right, I would just leave.” She gravitated from Connecticut to Florida because there were more opportunities there. “I was in between Connecticut and Tampa for a few years,” she says. “And now I’ve been living here for the most of the time.” Love tells AVN when she got her first rabbit, Peanut, off of Craigslist that at first she didn’t know how to care for her. “So I had a tiny little rabbit running around my apartment,” she recalls. “Then I learned more about rabbits and I kept buying rabbits. I had to stop at three.” Love continues, “The thing with rabbits is basically they’re very high-maintenance pets. I actually got an apartment and I got them their own bedroom, so they have their own room right now where they live and that makes it easier. “They’re very loving pets, they really are. It’s really easy to form a strong connection with rabbits. They’re also very smart animals, so if I piss them off they’ll chew my house up. They can be little devious pets, so you gotta be nice and give them a lot of treats… They love carrots and they love fruit.” Love intends to move to California early next year with the hope of making adult her career for the foreseeable future—which is not something she would’ve predicted a couple years ago. “I think about that all the time, how quickly life can change,” Lila says. “I don’t consider myself a porn star yet, because I’m new and I don’t give myself that status. I haven’t earned it yet. But I’m very thankful this is my life now. “I like what it’s done with my life and I’m excited to see where it takes me in the future. I’m just glad I found my way into the industry.” When Lila isn’t working, she says, “I love to be outside. Usually on my free time I’m walking around the city. I really like to go for long walks.
