Fifth Episode of Seth Gamble's 'Deranged' Debuts on Wicked.com |
LOS ANGELESâThe fifth episode of Gamma Entertainment exclusive contract performer Seth Gamble's feature directing debut, Deranged, is now available on Wicked.com. Written and directed by the three-time AVN Best Actor and produced by four-time AVN Director of the Year Axel Braun, the eight-part series stars Kenzie Taylor and Tommy Pistol. The new scene, the second of Taylor's to be released in the series, co-stars Kayley Gunner and AVN Award-winning male talent Rob Piper. The series tells the story of Dr. Charlie Hayes (Taylor), a brilliant psychologist navigating her dark past as she pursues her number one nemesisâthe deranged Dr. Joseph Curwen (Pistol). Her own psychopathic urges lead her to play some deeply manipulative mind games with her patients as she facilitates a powerful sexual encounter with two lovers (Piper and Gunner). âWe have seen countless iterations of psychopaths in the movies,â said Gamble of the newest episode. âFrom Norman Bates to Louis Bloom in Nightcrawler, film isnât short on fascinating, malicious characters. What makes Kenzieâs performance as Charlie so interesting is how she portrays psychopaths so clearly and yet so thoughtfully. She somehow gives us a very transparent look at what true sociopathy looks like, while being wholly original and inspired in her take on the character type.â Of Gunner, Gamble said, âKayley is a naturally energetic performer. She knows when to release bursts of energy, as well as when to bottle the energy up because her character is holding something back on the surface, but on the inside sheâs exploding.â Regarding Piper, he said, âRob Piper is charming, expressive and charismatic and his longevity in the business reflects those things. He knows acting is a self-starter business and has a lot of self-motivation. Heâs highly imaginative and, like me, believes in hard work and commitment.â Gamble went on to reflect, "I was working with two very dynamic, fluid lead charactersâso the question became how do we tell a story that is emotionally engaging and can spark a conversation that reverberates beyond the movie? How can we dig these characters into a hole that they then are trying to dig their way out of? Thatâs part of the design of the film, its focus and cruelty: What happens when an obsession goes too far? How do we feel boxed in based on our own identity? âThese are the questions that Kenzie and Tommy explored with emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and a real adept understanding and insight into human behavior and what drives people," he added. "Actors are constantly asking themselves these questions: What drives these characters? What are their needs? What are their desires? Why do they act this way? Itâs a constant evaluating and breaking down of the human psyche, which requires a large degree of commitment from your cast.â See episode five of Deranged now exclusively on Wicked.com.
