Ebony Mystique Talks Exclusive Contract With Brazzers

LOS ANGELES — Ebony Mystique calls her new Brazzers contract “like living a dream.” “It’s very exciting,” she tells AVN. “I love the fact that they’re so supportive. I’m really on cloud nine.” Mystique, whose contract officially kicked off on February 1, is performing exclusively for the heavyweight porn studio and their sister brands both in the U.S. and Europe for the foreseeable future. And it’s no wonder why—14 of her 46 performing credits since launching her porn career in 2019 have been for ZZ. “Brazzers is like number one in my book,” Mystique says. “Everything about them is very professional. … If there was a survey at the end I would give them all 10s.” The pay raise doesn’t hurt either, she jokes. “My pay is almost triple to what I was making on a regular rate and I was already at a pretty good rate,” says Mystique, who does a minimum of four scenes per month for Brazzers as part of her agreement. “It’s like wow, they’re investing in me.” She threw down in six scenes for ZZ in 2021—most recently squaring off with Juan Loco and Sally D’Angelo in a threeway titled “Homecare Cucking Threesome Caper.” Prior to that, she met Isiah Maxwell for a shower session billed as “Soak Her All In.” Among Mystique’s new scenes coming soon are an anal encounter with Xander Corvus and hookups with Ricky Johnson, Luna Star, Scott Nails and Jordi El Nino Polla, who also was her first ZZ scene partner along with Alexis Tae in March 2020. “Mystique is known for bringing next-level energy and enthusiasm to her performance,” a Brazzers rep tells AVN. “She has been a consummate professional on set and is a welcome addition to our Brazzers exclusive roster. We are looking forward to showcasing just what a dynamic talent Mystique is in many high-profile scenes to come.” The ZZ brass also indicated they are working closely with Mystique on “a big scene concept that she pitched.” “It’s been incredible having Mystique involved in the creative process and we are looking forward to featuring her in variety of scenes during her exclusivity,” the ZZ rep adds. Indeed, Mystique raised her profile in rapid fashion in the past two years—each of her new scenes has become a XXX occasion. At press time she had 264,000-plus followers on Twitter. And the former nurse takes her growing notoriety in stride. “I’m doing exactly what I’m supposed to be doing,” Mystique says. “I’m very confident in my decision and this makes me even more motivated. I was already confident about it and this just more seals the deal. I’m having an amazing time doing this. I feel like I’m doing the right thing.” She still remembers buying her own booth at her first AVN Adult Entertainment Expo in January 2020 in Las Vegas. “I wanted to get that full experience,” says Mystique, who debuted in August 2019 on PinkyXXX.com. It was after many conversations with her long-time friend Pinky that she decided to give porn a try. “Oh my god, that’s my girl,” Mystique says. “I’ve known her for years. When she was getting really, really popular I was around people who were totally in love with her.” When Mystique started getting serious about doing a scene, she says Pinky gave her “the talk.” “She said, ‘OK, we’re gonna do this but the first thing I want you to know is that you can’t take this shit back,’” Mystique recalls. It turns out those were wise words from Pinky. Even though Mystique wore a mask for that first shoot with Rob Piper “because I was kind of scared that people were going to find out,” her scene still went viral. Then after being bombarded with questions about whether that was really her behind the mask, Mystique actually asked Pinky to remove her scene from the site. “And Pinky said, ‘See, I told you. I told you—you not ready for this shit,’” Mystique says with a laugh. About three months later, Pinky called Mystique and said the fans wanted more of her. “She said ‘I need you back on my site. The fans love you,’” Mystique explains. So she shot another scene—this time taking on Jovan Jordan—without wearing a mask. “That was my official, ‘Hello world, here I am.’ And that went even more viral than the first one. And then after that I left my job,” says Mystique. Fast forward to today and she’s scheduled to do a threeway with Jane Wilde and Air Thugger; tomorrow she’s got a porn date with Pressure; and Danny D. is on tap next month. Mystique recently returned from a ZZ-sponsored trip to Prague, Czech Republic, in February, where she worked with Jordi again, among others. Plans call for her to travel to Budapest, Hungary, and Barcelona in April. A native of New Haven, Conn., Mystique spent a lot of her teenage years in Brooklyn, N.Y. Nowadays she’s based out of L.A. and Las Vegas. She dedicated 13 years to the medical profession, working as a critical care nurse in ICUs and more recently as an advice nurse. “I don’t miss it enough to go back,” Mystique admits. “But I do still get these times where I have to use my critical thinking from nursing.” She reveals that many nurses have a hidden wild side. “A lot of RN’s secretly want to do a lot of naughty things,” Mystique says with a smile.
