MFC's Jade Baker Featured in March Issue of CAMStar |
LOS ANGELES â Jade Baker tells AVN she has always liked âmaking friends on the internet.â Itâs one of the many reasons why the 24-year-old native of Miami is a natural on MyFreeCams, where she has found an enthusiastic audience since 2016. âTo be able to talk to people from all over and bond and relax is a really connecting experience,â Jade says. âI also love the community with the other girls on the site.â The former hair salon pro has also brought some of the fanbase sheâs built from her successful all-girl performing career to MFC. âI do have some members who remember me from my early years of camming but mostly my community consists of fans from my pro scenes,â explains Jade, who has been nominated for the AVN Lesbian Performer of the Year award for the past three years in a row. âBeing myself was the best way to build a lasting community with lots of friendships.â For Jade, who is in the midst of finishing her degree in psychology, the importance of communication also cannot be understated. âI am a huge proponent of deep communication with yourself and others,â she says. âCommunicating honestly and with an open heart can change your life and the whole world around you.â In this exclusive Q&A for the March issue of CAMStar accompanied by 12 pages of photos, Jade discusses what drew her to the field of psychology, her interest in art, overcoming the stigma of sex work, what sheâs currently reading and much more. JB: MFC Share is unique because the content I upload there is curated with the MFC user in mind. You can find exclusive videos on there that I know would be popular with my regular members. Itâs all solo content. My most popular clips are JOIs. When did you start performing in girl/girl scenes? Which did you do first - camming or g/g? I started performing in g/g scenes in April 2018, a couple of years after I had started camming. What inspired you to try g/g performing? I always had my own content in mind when starting my career in g/g performing. I wanted to connect with other great performers and take myself to the next level. I learned a lot about the industry and made some amazing, lasting friendships. I feel like the door is open for me to do anything now, whether itâs continuing to perform professionally or for my own content sites. What do you like most about the field of psychology? Since we are very much connected with the world around us, learning about ourselves helps us learn about the world. Looking at the world in a psychological lens is fascinating; all the unconscious behaviors, conflict and habits. One thing I hate about knowing so much about psychology is that I canât stay mad at anyone anymore. Every time someone acts rudely towards me I immediately have the thought âoh well theyâre just projecting their own insecurities on me and I shouldnât take it personalâ¦â A blessing and a curse really. How do you balance your studies with your adult career? As Iâve become more serious about school this is something Iâve had to learn to handle better. Itâs not easy. To be truthful I have been putting my work on the back burnerâschool is getting pretty engrossing. I go to school online so it makes things somewhat manageable but once I start grad school that will be a different story. Changing the way I work has been the only way to make it happen. Charging more for certain things to accommodate my time constraints is something Iâve been fortunate enough to do. I originally took time off school to work and build a name for myself and now I am living off of the fruits of my labor and am prioritizing school again. Photography by @artenamor
