SXSW to Host Female Panel on 'The Future of Sex'

AUSTIN, Texas—The upcoming South by Southwest (SXSW) conference in Austin, Texas will include as part of its program schedule a panel dubbed "The Future of Sex: As Told by Women" addressing what promotional materials call "a major shift" in the sexual wellness realm led by female and other underrepresented voices. Taking place on Monday, March 14 at 2:30 p.m. at the Austin Marriott Downtown, the hour-long seminar will feature as its panelists: Lilly Sparks, the Texas-based founder of AVN Award-nominated erotic site afterglow (xoafterglow.com); Anna Lee, co-founder of the biofeedback-incorporating Lioness Smart Vibrator; sex therapist Shadeen Francis of The People's Therapy Group; and sex researcher Gabrielle Evans of The Minority Sex Report, LLC. “This SXSW panel is another step towards releasing the shame and stigma we have around sex in our society," Sparks said. "50 percent of women don't orgasm during sex, so the status quo is NOT working.
