Swiss Navy Social Rebranded as Swiss Navy Pride

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. — M.D. Science Lab, makers of iconic Swiss Navy products, has announced a rebranding of their social media pages to reflect the evolution of their brand. “We wanted to start 2022 out by focusing more on one of our favorite communities,” said Briana Watkins, M.D. Science’s vice president of sales and marketing. “Swiss Navy has always been a favorite of the LGBTQIA2S+ community and we thought what better way to acknowledge every unique individual than to rebrand our social pages as Swiss Navy Pride.” Ellen Friedman, regional director of sales & marketing for M.D. Science Lab, agrees. “In order to capture the spirit of Swiss Navy and our approachability within the LGBTQIA2S+ community, we knew we were due for an update. We want to work together with our loyal partners to empower one another and rebranding as Swiss Navy Pride is the first step in doing that.” While LGBT+ History Month is October in the U.S., the month of February is celebrated as an annual month-long observation of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender history in the U.K. and 2022 marks the 50th anniversary of the first Pride March in Britain. Rodney Wilson, a high-school teacher from Missouri, started LGBT+ History Month in 1994 and the celebration is now celebrated in countries all around the world—Australia, Canada, Brazil, Greenland, Germany, and Hungary to name a few. “Our social community is tightknit,” said Penny Clifford, M.D. Science Lab’s social media manager. “It seemed fitting to create this rebranding strategy that reflects the evolution of Pride and our vision of Swiss Navy’s future.” The Swiss Navy Pride social pages will be used to promote awareness of and celebrate the LGBTQIA2S+ community is its many forms.
