Mistress Cyan to Host 'Slave Auction' Benefit for the Homeless |
LENNOX, Calif. â Mistress Cyan's fetish-themed charity âSlave Auctionâ party and Thanksgiving food drive for the homeless will be held from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Friday at Sanctuary LAX, 10914 S. La Cienega Blvd, Lennox, CA 90304. The event, styled after a charity bachelor auction, is a Sanctuary LAX tradition dating back more than 20 years, featuring Switches, submissives and dommes volunteer to put themselves up for auction, while âbuyersâ exchange non-perishable food and canned goods for âauction money.â Bidding starts at 9:30 p.m. and the winning bidders keep the âslaveâ for the duration of the party. With fun at the heart of the event, everything is negotiated and consensual with all safe words respected. "The thought of people being hungry over Thanksgiving is a very disturbing thought to me," said Mistress Cyan, owner and founder of Sanctuary LAX. "I have been fortunate enough over the past 23 years to be in a position to be able to do something to help. As a result of the COVID pandemic, many have lost their jobs and even their homes and are now on the street or in shelters. This is how we can help." In 2019, Mistress Cyan's charity auction collected more than 2,000 cans of food and more than 200 pounds of dry goods, as well as cash and gift cards to distribute for Thanksgiving. The beneficiaries of this event are The Metropolitan Community Church in North Hollywood. Donated food and blankets are then distributed to food banks and the needy throughout Southern California.
