'A Breath of Fresh Air': Lily Larimar Finding Her Stride

LOS ANGELES — One of the more memorable moments of Lily Larimar’s blossoming porn career occurred in June, when a pair of social media followers made her cry. Make no mistake, though. These were happy tears. It all started when a duo named Trung and Geoff—two of Larimar’s most avid fans—contacted high-profile industry photographer Dean Capture about purchasing a $500 glamour shoot for Larimar as a surprise for her 23rd birthday. When Capture relayed the proposal to Larimar, the hazel-eyed hottie was excited—but also taken aback. She agreed to the session, thanked Capture and hung up the phone. “And then,” Larimar says, “I got a little emotional. I mean … I was moved. I was touched. It was literally one of the sweetest things anyone has ever done for me.” Later that month, during the half-day shoot at her apartment, Larimar put forth extra effort to make sure the photos turned out as tantalizing as possible. She posed for five different sets—everything from hot maid outfits to a nude shoot in a bathtub with floating candles. Larimar even bought birthday cupcakes to use as props. “Lily can come across as shy sometimes,” Capture says, “but that day she was on fire. She had so much energy because that project meant so much to her. It’s easy to see why she’s so well-liked. “Lily is a breath of fresh air.” And everyone in the adult industry seems to agree. Just 18 months into her career, Larimar is not only one of the most popular figures in all of porn, but also one of the most respected. Producers scramble to book her, co-stars request to work with her and fans flood her social media accounts with praise. Larimar tries to engage with them—but it’s often tough to find time. Even with the challenges presented by COVID-19, Larimar said she appeared in 100 scenes between January and November of 2020. And according to IAFD, she’s already racked up 71 shoots in 2021, putting her on pace to eclipse the previous year’s tally. Such a chaotic workload is almost unheard of for any performer—but especially one of Larimar’s ilk. Just call her “The Hardest Working Girl in Porn.” “I don’t really keep count of my scenes,” Larimar says, “but whenever people tell me the updated number I’m like, ‘Oh damn!’ “When I moved to L.A. from Pittsburgh (in January of 2020), I didn’t know anyone, so I really didn’t have a social life. All I did was work. Even when COVID slowed things down, I did the best I could to shoot as much as possible.” Vixen, Brazzers, Adulttime, Nubiles, Cherry Pimps—and scores of others. Larimar has worked for nearly every top studio and production company in the past year-and-a-half. She also served as a Trophy Girl alongside Avery Cristy at the 2021 AVN Awards. Among Larimar’s favorite scenes in 2021 is a hookup with Mick Blue for Brazzers entitled “Catch Me While I Cam” and a threesome with Blue and Emma Starletto for Deeper’s “Tell Her 4.” Larimar is also excited about a recent tango with Zac Wilde for BANG!, which named her “Babe of the Month” in July. The footage was captured by director Chris Streams, who raved about his experience with the 5-foot-4 Larimar. “It was straight gonzo,” Streams said. “I told Zac, ‘You’re No. 1 job is to make this girl cum as many times possible.’ Lily laughed and was like, ‘I’m going to love working for you.’ I think she was just glad she could do a scene where she didn’t have to play someone’s niece or stepsister. “Her long legs are just sick. She can do things the shorter girls can’t do, whether it’s posing for a certain style of photo or shooting different angles or positions, like reverse cowgirl or standing doggie. But the best thing about her was her attitude and energy. She was down for anything and just wanted to have a good time.” Dave Rock, the owner and CEO of Motley Models, said Larimar’s upbeat persona and her reliability make her one of the most sought-after talents in his stable. He said Larimar is among the “sweetest” people he’s ever met, adding that Larimar has accumulated more scenes in the past 18 months than anyone on his roster. “I’ve never been around her when she’s not in a sweet, nice mood,” Rock says. “And when she gets on set she’s the exact same person. When these directors see, ‘Lily Larimar’ on their list, they know they don’t have to worry about anything. She’s not going to cause them any stress. “Girls who work as much as she does usually break down. Or they get sore or this or that. Or maybe they just show up one day and they don’t have the passion. But she’s not like that. She loves the sex. She loves the business.” Still, even Rock realizes that no performer could’ve maintained Larimar’s frenetic schedule without an eventual need for a break. So he wasn’t surprised earlier this summer when she requested time to recharge. Lounging near the backyard fire pit at Motley Manor, Larimar readily admits the workload caught up with her a bit in May. The health nut who was once “obsessed” with making smoothies with spinach, bananas and spirinella suddenly found herself eating high-calorie, on-the-go meals as she drove home late at night from set. Larimar also recognized that most of her free time was spent emailing her OnlyFans subscribers, going to hair and nail appointments, shopping for scene outfits, or packing and traveling to out-of-town shoots. She said it felt as if she was getting tested for COVID “almost every other day.” “My life was 100 percent about work,” Larimar says. “Some days I just felt mentally and physically exhausted. I realized I needed to start taking better care of myself. I needed to find a balance.” With that in mind, Larimar did what any reasonable person would’ve done: she took a break. Instead of hopscotching from one set to the next, day after day, Larimar stayed away from studio shoots for entire month of June. Larimar used the down time to focus on her health, both physical and mental. She visited family back east and celebrated her birthday with friends at Crossroads Kitchen, a trendy vegan restaurant in Los Angeles. Her most rejuvenating excursion came in early July, when Larimar found herself on a roller coaster for the first time since her childhood trips to Kennywood Park in Pittsburgh. “I actually got a little scared,” Larimar chuckles. “They took these pictures of everyone that we could see as we were leaving the ride, and I did not look happy.” Maybe not on the roller coaster. But the trip to Six Flags Magic Mountain with Motley girls Charly Summer, Scarlett Sage and Lily Lou was precisely what Larimar needed. Sometime soon, Larimar plans to re-enroll in some of the hot yoga, pilates and barre classes she attended before the COVID-19 outbreak in March of 2020. “I already feel so much better,” Larimar said. “Everyone needs a break sometimes.” And now that she’s returned, Larimar is determined to produce better content than ever. Much like an athlete studies game film, Larimar routinely watches her scenes and makes mental notes on areas she can improve. She’s already noticed considerable strides when it comes to eye contact and dirty talk. And overall, she said she looks “more relaxed” in her 2021 scenes compared to those when she first started. Larimar is going through a self-discovery of sorts when it comes to her sexuality. She had less than 10 partners before joining the industry—“My body count was low,” she chuckles—so she’s still learning about her own likes and dislikes while discovering new fetishes. “I never thought I’d like feet,” Larimar says. “I thought feet were gross. I would never have considered letting a guy touch my feet when I was younger. But now, if the vibe is right, I definitely enjoy some foot play.” Larimar giggles and begins to twirl her hair, an endearing reminder of her youth and innocence. Yet in other ways she operates like an adult industry veteran—and she certainly carries the clout of one. Longtime star Jessica Ryan, who is 35, recently gushed about Larimar’s poise and professionalism. And newcomers such as Summer say they learn a lot from Larimar simply by observing her. “Lily is not only an incredible performer, but a wonderful person,” Summer tells AVN. “I’m blown away by how skilled she is at taking stills. She effortlessly serves up these looks that make everyone melt—but she also has this great sense of humor that puts everyone at ease. She makes porn fun.” Perhaps that’s because Larimar is having fun, too. Sure, the career can be taxing at times. And yes, some scenes turn out better than others. But all it takes are shoots with pros such as Streams and Capture, trips to amusement parks with her Motley sisters—and gestures from fans like Geoff and Trung—to remind Larimar she’s in exactly the right place. “I used to be so shy,” Larimar says. “I wasn’t very outgoing. In grade school I’d worry about what other kids thought of me. Then I started (adult work) and I got nervous. I was like, ‘What are people from my hometown—people I’m close with—going to think?’” Larimar pauses. “But then at some point,” she says, “I flipped a switch and said, ‘I don’t even care what people think. Why am I concerned?’ Porn has given me confidence. It’s made me feel good about myself. I’ve got a lot of goals now, and I’m not going to let anything hold me back.” Photography by @kogafoto
