AdultTime Wraps Production of 'Casey: A True Story' Biopic |
LOS ANGELESâAdult Time has announced the wrap of its most anticipated feature film of 2021, award-winning writer and director Joanna Angelâs biopic, Casey: A True Story. Based on the real life experiences of award-winning adult performer, Casey Kisses, who shares the title role with co-star Dante Colle, the film is an emotional and uplifting look at one trans womanâs journey to become herself in the most unlikely of places. Co-starring Kira Noir, Kenna James, Khloe Kay, Kylie LeBeau, Owen Gray, Small Hands, Derrick Pierce, and Tommy Pistol. Cameron is a small town drifter who aspires to join the local biker club. A loyal hang around, he quickly rises through the ranks to ride alongside the President. But, Cameron has a secret. What starts out as sexual curiosity leads to the realization that the young biker is not who she seems. A 'coming of identityâ story that shines an important light on the unique experience of transitioning and why sharing real stories is a step towards overcoming real stigmas. âIt was such an honor to be able to share my story through Joannaâs eyes," said Casey Kisses, who co-wrote the screenplay alongside Angel and Shawn Alff. âWorking with everyone was such a pleasure and I feel like it brought us all closer together. The entire cast and crew are the coolest and most professional Iâve worked with. Itâs bittersweetâI am sad itâs all over!â âBeing able to work on this was truly an honor. I was intimidated at first because it was incredibly important to do this story justice,â said Dante Colle. âCasey is a friend of mine and this project certainly brought us closer together. I spent several weeks analyzing her mannerisms and vocal inflections to really get the role down. This has challenged me in so many ways. It was emotional and beautiful and badass!â âThis was absolutely the highlight of my career by far,â added Director of Photography, Mike Quasar. âEveryone involved brought their A-game. Joanna Angel, you are amazing!â The idea for the biopic stemmed from a series of candid conversations between Joanna and Casey over the last two years, as the pair worked together on different projects and shared their stories. âI tried to not ask too many questions, but I was completely fascinated by the few details Casey had told me about her life. Every time Iâd see her, Iâd ask a few more questions and hear more fragments of her story,â said Angel, reflecting on the origins of the project. âAt this point in my life, I really thought Iâd heard it all... but this story was unlike anything Iâd ever heard. It was like the greatest episode of Sons of Anarchy ever written!â Coincidentally, the two women were on set together in February when Adult Timeâs Chief Creative Officer Bree Mills reached out to Angel to discuss a film project. She was open to creative ideas, but wanted the film to star a trans woman in the lead role of the platformâs biggest feature of the year. âBree asked if I could tell her what ideas I had. I took one look at Casey, as she was putting the final touches of her makeup on, and said, âHey, could I make a movie about your life story?â and she looked at me and replied âAre you fucking kidding me? Iâd love that!â  Casey: A True Story will be released as an R-rated feature film and an X-rated three episode series on Adult Time, with a target release date set for September 2021. âMy gratitude to Casey for sharing her story and to Joanna for taking on such a challenging and important project with passion and dedication,â said Mills, who also serves as the executive producer. âThis is a film that I am extremely proud to release on Adult Time but will be even more proud to offer it as a free R-rated version for anyone out there who wants to listen, to learn, to grow, and to embrace inclusivity. As an industry, we reach so many people with our work and have a profound influence on sex and sexuality in our culture, so I am happy we are able to offer this beautiful story.â
