Centro University, APAG to Host Talk on Social Media Censorship |
CYBERSPACEâFanCentro and the Adult Performance Artists Guild (APAG) have teamed to host a free webinar on Wednesday, May 12 covering the topic of censorship on social media for adult performers, influencers and other sex workers. Titled "Staying Safe on Social," the seminar takes place at 11 a.m. PT and will be hosted by Centro University instructor MelRose Michaels, joined by APAG officers Alana Evans (president), Ruby (vice president), Kelly Pierce (secretary), Amberly Rothfield (marketing and business consultant) and Jim Felton (legal consel). âItâs extremely important for influencers to understand what rights they have when theyâre using various social media platforms,â FanCentro VP Kat Revenga said. âWithout fully knowing what your rights are, itâs impossible to protect them, so we partnered with the wonderful team at APAG to give influencers the tools they need to protect themselves and their content.â Alana Evans and APAG have been in direct negotiations with Instagram and other social media companies and have gotten clear direction on what influencers and other sex workers need to do to avoid shadowbans and account suspensions. In this event, they will share what they've learned and what community members need to know to stay safe. Influencers can share their questions about how to stay safe on social in advance by visiting this link, and their questions will be covered by the panelists, who will also be taking live questions during the webinar. Those interested should register for the webinar by visiting CentroUniversity.com or by clicking here.
