pjur to Attend Adult-Care Expo: A Return to (Almost) Normalcy?

WASSERBILLIG, Luxembourg – Ordinarily, announcements about adult companies attending trade events isn’t something that grabs much of my attention – because, normally, YNOT receives quite a few announcements of that sort in any given month.

2020 and 2021 have been anything but normal where trade shows are concerned, to say the least. Starting early last year, virtually every in-person adult trade event previously scheduled has been cancelled or postponed, sometimes more than once.

So, when I received an email announcing that the pjur group will be attending this year’s Adult-Care Expo in Shanghai, it definitely caught my attention – and my curiosity. Just how much of a return to ‘normal’ does this event represent, even albeit a normal occurring in an expo located on the other side of the globe from any that I’ve personally attended?

The announcement from pjur emphasizes that safety “is a top priority at this trade fair.”

“Trade fair visitors must register online in advance and follow the safety measures on site,” pjur group noted in its statement. “In addition, a mask must be worn and the safety distance must be maintained at all times.”

In other words, COVID-19 will still hang over this event as something of a trade show version of the Sword of Damocles – but still, at least people are gathering, in person, to do business. It might be just inching back towards normalcy, but sitting here in April 2021, 13 months into a reality beset with cancellations, postponements and all the assorted scrambling and disappointment that comes with them, it’s a damn fine thing to see.

As you might expect, the team from pjur is excited to be hitting the road again, finally.
