Fresh Faces: Destiny Cruz

Destiny Cruz has only been in the adult business since May but she’s made quite an impact in that time. Despite slowdowns and the general chaos of 2020, she shot more than 50 scenes and worked for most of the industry’s top-flight producers. She also was featured as a screen girl for the 2021 AVN Awards, the importance of such a role not lost on the petite newbie. “I was very excited, nervous, more optimistic, motivated, and looking forward to the bright future ahead of me and what it may have in store for me,” Destiny says of how she felt when she learned she would be a screen girl. “I loved just letting go and being myself, not having to be or pretend to be anyone else. Our scripts matched each of our personalities perfectly.” Destiny, who books exclusively through East Coast Talents, hails from Asheville, N.C, where she was a bit of an outcast growing up thanks in part to her sexuality, which manifested early. She says her family and friends “were not very surprised when they found out I was doing porn.” The 24-year-old was a certified nursing assistant before getting into adult, but the interest in shooting already was there for the longtime fan of porn. She did some mainstream modeling, but a photographer told her she’d make more if she did porn— and he was right. She admits “it’s not as easy as it looks in the videos,” but there are so many upsides. “My favorite things about working in the adult industry is hot sex, hot guys and girls, more acceptance, the money, flexible schedule, and all the fans I gained,” Destiny says.  “I also have met some of the most cool and amazing people. I have had a lot of fun shooting with all these popular/famous companies I had only dreamt about being a part of one day.” Photography by Dean Capture
