Fresh Faces: Natalia Nix

LOS ANGELES—“You can’t act what you don’t feel,” says Natalia Nix, a smoky-voiced puertoriquena living in Las Vegas. “That’s why I like being on set, getting to know somebody. Going over to someone’s apartment that you never met doesn’t make chemistry for me.” We’re talking about filming during the pandemic. As large productions have shut down and porn performers are streaming from home-based platforms, Nix, 24, is happy to be shooting scenes with her boyfriend, Rion King. Both perform with other people, she says, when “there’s safe conditions.” “But I don’t get jealous,” she says, laughing. “I know Puerto Ricans have a bad reputation. But I’m different. I’m really friendly and outgoing, but not with my body. So when I know someone, I’m wild and I’m free. And he lets me be me and I let him be him. I know that, if it’s someone you really love, they’ll come home to you.” Nix grew up in Puerto Rico, where she played volleyball. She’s 5-foot-7 and describes herself as “tiny.” She moved with her mother and brother to Miami, where she got her start with BangBros in January, 2019, on the advice of a friend. “I love sex,” she says. “And my friend was already doing it, and I was really curious. I said, ‘If I like the first scene, I’ll do another.’ And I did! And I kept coming back!” Nix maintains that she’s shy, even an introvert. “But when the camera comes on, I’m a different person,” she says. But even though she loved sex, Nix admits that there were a number of firsts on porn sets. “I never did a threesome before, I never squirted, I never licked a pussy (she pronounces it ‘poosy,’ which makes it even hotter). And, on the first day, they asked me if I wanted to douche, and I said, ‘What the fuck is that?’” Getting the hang of the Florida porn world made Nix eager to come west and, after considering L.A., she settled on “quiet, calm, less-expensive” Las Vegas. When she does come to L.A. for work, she drives with King. “I don’t like The Strip,” she says, “but I love Las Vegas, and the hiking, and the mountains. It’s sometimes like a little town. I like how pretty it is here. I don’t miss shit about Miami!” With porn’s historic reliance on stereotypes, it’s easy to pigeonhole Nix as a “fiery Latina,” especially with that voice. But she says that, in the lite-bondage scenes she has done, she has learned that she really likes being submissive. “That was another thing I found out,” she says. “I like being dominated.” But what happens when you meet a partner who’s even shyer than you? “It’s weird,” says Nix, who can be booked through 101 Modeling, “but I want to fuck the shit out of him.” Photos by Rion King
