Fresh Faces: Spencer Bradley |
LOS ANGELESâSpencer Bradley tells AVN she is branding herself as an âenthusiastic slut.â "It's all in the way that you relate to the person: The way you're making eye contact with them, how you convey that you're excited to be there,â Bradley says. âWhatever I'm feeling in that moment I verbalize it. I try to show it as much as I can. Convey the whole experience. A big part of the 'enthusiastic slut' thing came to me when I was observing my performances: I get excited. I'm smiling a lot, I lean in a lot. âPeople like it, so I felt it had to be part of my identity as a performer. This is something I enjoy. I'm tuning in to that part of me.â The industry has noticed. Bradley recently announced what arguably was her most high-profile scene so farâher anal sex debut for the AVN Award-winning Tushy.com with three-time Male Performer of the Year Mick Blue. Directed by 2020 Hall of Fame inductee Laurent Sky, "Her Commission" sees Spencer and her boss, Mick, working on the biggest deal of Mick's career. After Mick tells Spencer they've closed the deal, they decide to have a celebration that ends with sizzling butt sex. Bradley was thrilled with the outcome, calling it "one of the best scenes ever" and thanking her fans for their support. The 26-year-old college graduate, who is represented for bookings by Nexxxt Level Talent, got into adult in July 2019 after working as a stripper. "I waited till I was 20 to start stripping. I tried doing the cosmetology thing first,â says Spencer, a native of South Bend, Indiana, who started exotic dancing while in college. âI finished college and continued to strip. ⦠Iâd just had a few clips online, because I had recently moved back with my parents. I was going through a lot at the time. I was far away from any strip club that I wanted to work at. I started doing online stuff â I was camming and putting clips out on ManyVids â and someone reached out to me. I was recruited by someone with an agency. That's how I got my foot in the door. âI wasn't looking to get into porn, but I took the opportunity.â The opportunity first took her to Florida; she made multiple trips to the Sunshine State to shoot in July-September 2019. âThen I stayed in Indiana until I moved out to do porn full-time in Vegas in November 2019,â she says. Now almost 40 credits later, Bradley is making an impression of her colleagues. She says âbeing in that in-between age, all natural, my professionalism and eagerness to work is what helps me along.â She also enjoys the team aspect of adult productions. "When you're camming, just working with a camera instead of a person, you donât get instant feedback like you do at a club. I like collaborative efforts in a scene, where a bunch of people work together, especially when it turns out great,â Bradley says. Just ask AVN Hall of Fame director Mike Quasar, who tells AVN, "Sheâs adorable and carries a wonderful energy with her that translates into amazing scenes. She always stands out and I shoot 6000 scenes a month so thatâs quite an endorsement.â Porn go-to guy Isiah Maxwell agrees. âThe day with Spencer was made easy by her because of how easy it is to work with her,â Maxwell tells AVN. âShe brought my A-game out of me in order to match her energy. Her personality matches her beauty and Iâm only witnessing the beginning of her rise to the top. I canât praise her enough." Bradley says sheâs been receptive to feedback from the industry veterans who have shared their insights on how she can reach her potential. âPeople give me great little tips. The biggest overall one for me was: 'You're not being asked to fuck on camera, you're being asked to perform.' That's when it clicked in my brain. That's what makes this a skill. That's what people are going to keep wanting you for,â Bradley explains. âMy performance isn't so much acting as it's bringing out everything I'm feeling and conveying it to the audience, that they're able to feel what I'm feeling. âIf I just kept it to myself, if I didn't amplify my sensations through being vocal, that's what makes the difference. You can't arrive and think you're just there to have sex. You're there to have an experience â and for people to experience your experience. "I'm really looking forward to next year, in general. I've worked really hard this past year and I'm enjoying everything that's come along. I'm excited to see what will happen as long as I continue to do the best I know how to do." Bradley says going from Indiana to Vegas turned out to be crucial for her career. The move provided an entrée to January's AVN Adult Entertainment Expo. "I went to my first AVN Expo last January,â she says. âA friend of mine stayed with me at my place â she doesnât like hotels â and at the show I said something and she said to a friend of hers that I didnât think I was pretty enough to do bla-bla-bla this-and-that. He fuckin' walked me over to Jules Jordan and asked him, 'Do you think she's beautiful?' and Jules said, âYeah, I'd shoot her.' It was a really crazy experience. âMy friend helped me get a lot of visibility. They called out my name on the red carpet. I'd only done a few scenes at that point." She says living in Vegas has been an adjustmentâbut in a good way. "The biggest shock was the climate. I like it here,â Spencer says. âBefore the pandemic, I liked how whenever you walked into a casino any time and it always felt like the same time of dayâ2:30 a.m., 4:30 a.m., it just feels like any other normal part of the day. âYou can't tell what time it is in there and there's people still working at the tables. It's the same all the time. That was fun." Photography by Marcos Rivera
