AdamEve.com Polls Customers on Sex Toy Expenditures

HILLSBOROUGH, N.C.—Adam & Eve and AdamEve.com released the results of their latest poll, this time asking customers how much, on average, people tend to spend for a sex toy. “You get what you pay for, at least when it comes to sex toys,” said Dr. Jenni Skyler, resident sexologist at Adam & Eve. “Sure, a $10 vibrator or couples ring can get the job done, but oftentimes these need to be replaced fairly often. Sex toys have come a long way in the past few years—many are now USB rechargeable, waterproof and crafted in high quality materials such as glass or silicone.” While nearly 50 percent of those polled (54 percent of the males vs. 45 percent of the females) said their sex toys cost under $20, 34 percent of the respondents (31 percent of the males and 37 percent of the females) spent between $20 and $50 on theirs. Just over 13 percent of those surveyed (12 percent of the males and 14 percent of the females) paid between $50 and $100 for an adult toy, and 3 percent said they spent over $100. “Adam & Eve carries a wide variety of adult toys for every comfort level,” said Chad Davis, director of Marketing for Adam & Eve. “Because there are so many different types of toys, and not everyone responds the same way to each one, I encourage new toy buyers to try out smaller, less expensive types to see what works for them.
