OnlyFans Downtime Riles Creators and Contributors |
An ongoing (as of the time of this post) incident of OnlyFans downtime due to what the platformâs support department called âmaintenance worksâ has creators and contributors asking pointed questions on Twitter this morning. In response to a tweet from OnlyFans Support stating that the platform is “currently performing maintenance works onthe site and therefore expecting some site down time,” a large number of contributors are demanding more information, complaining about a lack of quality support â and wondering aloud if thereâs anything other than an apology coming as compensation for the outage. We are currently performing maintenance works on the site and are therefore expecting some site down time. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and will be back online shortly once these upgrades are completed. — OnlyFans Support (@OnlyFansSupport) March 6, 2020 The most common refrain of those complaining is that if the downtime is due to maintenance, they would have appreciated hearing about that maintenance before it began, rather than hours into the service disruption it continues to cause. (As someone who once helped run a large affiliate program, I can personally attest to the fact that letting customers, advertisers, affiliates and other people affected by downtime about your maintenance plans in advance is a good prophylactic against getting flamed over service interruptions that stem from that maintenance.) It would have been nice if you would have told us before you started this so we can let our fans know. — Veronika_Rose (@veronika_rosexx) March 6, 2020 Would have been great to have received and email from the support team with an expected start time and stop time on this maintenance. I've seen smaller platforms at least do that. — ɳαÆαÊÔα Ê
