Industry Friend Confirms Passing of Performer Kitty Catherine

CHATSWORTH, Calif.—Rumors that circulated earlier this week among the adult community indicating that Ohio-based performer Kitty Catherine had taken her own life have now been confirmed by close friend and industry member Milah Romanov. In a statement released Saturday afternoon by the Adult Performer Actors Guild (APAG), Romanov, a professional dominatrix and indie clip producer/performer, said, "Kitty had been suffering for a very long time, was struggling from depression, and they do not believe she was coaxed into taking her life. At this time, Kitty's family is requesting privacy to grieve and mourn. I want to make sure that my brothers and sisters in the industry get the closure they deserve, and that her family is able to mourn properly. They are already going through so much." On its own behalf, APAG went on to say in the statement that it "is offering support to the family and would like to amplify their request for privacy. Funeral services for the family will be kept private, but an industry memorial is being considered for Fetish Con in August, with more details to come soon. Milah has asked that if you would like to have flowers sent, arrangements can be made through APAG. Email [email protected]." Catherine began performing in 2016, and appeared primarily in titles from Florida-rooted companies Bang Bros, Reality Kings, Team Skeet and The Score Group. According to APAG Sergeant at Arms Amber Lynn, she had plans in place to make a permanent move to Florida, but only traveled there on occasion for work. Recently she was featured in Kelly Madison Media's Split Screen 2, the company's follow-up to its multiple AVN Award-nominated anthology title of last year. She was 26.
