Cam Starlet, ’70s TV Icon Subject of Barcroft Series, ‘Love Don’t Judge’

New York, NY — Emerging cam and clips starlet Sarah Russi and television commercial icon Mason Reese are hopelessly in love – and their odd-coupling romance is fodder for the Barcroft series, “Love Don’t Judge.”

Reese is most known for his Cleo Award-winning Devilwood Ham commercials and appearances on “The Mike Douglas Show” in the 1970s. He is also a restaurant entrepreneur. Russi is an online sex worker from Boston who began her career via lingerie and bikini modeling.

Russi and Reese’s “Love Don’t Judge” episode is titled “My 26-Year-Old Model Girlfriend Is Out Of My League.” Descriptive text includes the following passage: “A couple with a 28-year age gap are used to getting looks and stares when they go out in public — not least because she’s a model, and he’s a 54-year-old who rides a mobility scooter.”

There are several “conventionally shocking” aspects that may come to mind when considering Russi and Reese’s relationship: their May/September age differential, social constructs related to outward appearance and a mainstream career juxtaposed with a burgeoning one in adult entertainment. None of these things are actually grounds for shock, however, as they are all actually quite commonplace. What is actually shocking about this though is the exploitative manner in which it is being handled by the media.

Case in point: DailyMail.com posted one of its patented sensationalized exposes on June 6, which includes  stating “Although Sarah has previously been as a sugar baby, she maintains that her relationship with Mason, who is a former child actor, is strictly personal.” This taps into “conventionally shocking” narratives related to age and career type, as well as including an overt dig at sugaring and other forms of sex work.

Actually, I take it back. This mainstream handling isn’t shocking at all.

To her credit, Russi doesn’t seem fazed.

“It’s a thrill for me to see my relationship laid out in such a sweet way for all the world to see,” Russi said. Flipping the script, she added, “While some people may think that Mason is out of my league, make no mistake these last six months have been some of the best of my romantic life.”

“We are having the best time together… He’s my best friend, and he supports my career in adult entertainment 100 percent because he sees how happy it makes me. Plus, it helps that he’s got his own show biz past so he understands more than any man I’ve ever dated,” Russi continued.
