Phoebe Grott Named Nat’l Purchasing Director at Pleasure Chest

LOS ANGELES—Industry vet Phoebe Grott will join The Pleasure Chest at the retail chain’s national purchasing director, starting in April. “Phoebe's passion for her work aligns beautifully with our mission of supporting our community's sexual wellness and exploration by providing the highest quality pleasure products, sex education and specialized shopping experience in a judgment-free environment. Her experience adds a fresh perspective and her proven track record in the industry will only strengthen and support our growth strategy," says Sarah Tomchesson, head of business operations. In her new role, Grott will join the core national leadership team, working directly with Tomchesson and Pleasure Chest owner Brian Robinson as the key leadership position in the purchasing operations of the national retail chain. As purchasing director, Grott will curate Pleasure Chest's diverse and high-quality product selection, which has become a cornerstone of the retail chain's success, fine-tune allocation strategy, and build upon the chain's strong industry partnerships. “The Pleasure Chest has been a leader in creating stores that promote inclusivity and pleasure positivity, and it is an honor to be invited to contribute to the company’s growth and success as National Purchasing Director. Grott has more than a decade’s experience in the pleasure products industry. She began her career at Babeland, where she rose to the position of senior buyer. Most recently, she served as the vice president of buying and merchandise with e-commerce retailer Ella Paradis. She has a strong record of success in product selection, assortment planning, inventory management, and product and packaging design. She has fostered deep ties in the industry with leading manufacturers through developing and negotiating strategic marketing and promotional partnerships.
