Jake Jaxson's 'Leave It to Levi' Doc Premieres at Film Festival

NEW YORK—CockyBoys director Jake Jaxson will debut his new documentary, titled Leave it to Levi, at the 34th Guadalajara International Film Festival, taking place March 8-15 in Guadalajara, Mexico. Festival Programming Director Pavel Cortes said, "The 34th Guadalajara International Film Festival is pleased to present Leave It to Levi as part of its Premio Maguey Special Screenings program, recognizing the best of LGBTQ cinema in the world. These films join the 16 feature-length films that make up its official competition. This year’s theme is ‘Enqueerate,’ derived from the Spanish term ‘Encuerate,’ which means ‘undress’ or ‘expose’ yourself.” Leave It to Levi follows the last six years of award-winning gay porn star Levi Karter’s life as he balances three separate identities: good son, porn star and sassy drag queen. The documentary covers those three identities in three acts—“Luke,” “Levi” and “Sassy”—as it follows Karter’s six-year journey from small-town Ohio boy to stripper to award-winning international porn star. Finally, after reaching the top as an adult performer—which brought him an exclusive contract with leading gay adult studio CockyBoys—Karter embarked on a dual career as an up-and-coming Brooklyn-based drag queen working under the moniker Sassy Frass Meaner.
