Meet Market Highlights Internext Day 2 |
LAS VEGAS—Stan Fiskin told AVN FanCentro has become the No. 1 brand in his portfolio during the Meet Market on Wednesday evening at the AVN Show. “It’s the culmination of 20 years of experience with this platform,” said Fiskin, the New Jersey-based founder and CEO of the evolutionary leased content platform, AdultCentro. Fiskin & Co. touted AdultCentro sister brand FanCentro during the anticipated two-hour Meet Market that featured more than 25 blue-chip companies networking with attendees of both the Internext Expo and the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo. For the first time in a decade, the annual conferences are happening at the same time at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Now the world’s largest provider of influencer premium Snapchat accounts, FanCentro works with thousands of models to help them monetize their posts. This week they are also hosting a 'GlamCentro' hospitality suite during the four-day expo that continues through Saturday. Fiskin, who now employs a team of more than 100, laid the groundwork for FanCentro, which launched at AVN 2017, with the creation of ModelCentro in 2013. Some of his top models earn tens of thousands per month on his platforms. “Did I imagine it would get to this point? I don’t know. But I worked diligently, step by step to get here,” said Fiskin, who on Saturday night will be inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame - Internet Founder’s Branch. “And I realized it’s taken all those steps before to get here. You have to be in the right place at the right time to make the right decision and work on the right project. “You have to have the experience of doing all the wrong things before. And making the mistakes before is going to get you to be poised to be able to take advantage of the opportunity. So I feel as I analyze my 22 years of experience—I see how all those things were stepping stones and building blocks to get to the right point, to be able to see the opportunity and take advantage of it.” Fiskin added, “Without that we wouldn’t be in this position. It’s not just the idea. Because many others have the same idea.” Speaking of companies with global influence, Traffic Factory discussed its extensive services with attendees in the front and center of Festival Hall as the main sponsor of the Meet Market. The France-based Romain Merlozzi, who was recently appointed account manager for North America, told AVN the Traffic Factory team speaks 11 different languages. “We’ve got a network of publishers of very, very good tube sites,” Merlozzi said. “People are starting to get to know us. … We’ve got more than 205 million daily visitors and 6 billion daily impressions. We’re a big structure.” Merlozzi said plans call for expansion with offices in the U.S. “We see the real importance for our clients to be on all time zones and that’s really our strength,” he continued. “We work on three complete time zones—the Asian time zone, the European and the American in that sense.” Veteran executive Christian Kreul worked the Meet Market crowd on behalf of Susi.cash, which boasts 6,000 German-speaking cam girls and a highly converting white label cam system. “We’re one of the largest webcam companies in the German-speaking market,” said Kreul, who is doing consulting for Susi.live. “We’re doing it since 20 years already. Basically there are just two large companies in Germany doing cams. But the share is the same. That’s the reason why we belong to the largest companies in the German-speaking market. For the company it’s the first time exhibiting at all at a U.S. show.” Kreul started his adult career in 2005 and has been involved in various verticals that include billing, mobile, traffic and cams. “I’m in a consulting role and I help them to get into my network. So the company behind Susi.live is LiveStrip.com…but two years ago we decided to come up with another brand, and that’s one of the reasons why Susi is more familiar to certain people,” Kreul said. Kreul wasn’t the only German player in attendance—adult star Anny Aurora was also spotted making the rounds. “This is the first time I’ve come to [the Meet Market],” Aurora, who is from Cologne, Germany, told AVN. “I heard about it from my friend… Now I’m here and it’s crazy crowded.” Aurora, who started her porn career in 2015 and has more than 80 credits, will be traveling to Los Angeles to shoot new scenes after Vegas week. She is represented by Mark Spiegler for bookings in the U.S. “I will stay here for two more months and then I may come back in September,” she said. Flirt4Free Brand Ambassador and cam star Lindsey Banks wore a unicorn headband and a hot pink fur coat to the Meet Market, where she charmed attendees along with VP of Business Development Jeff Wilson. “We’re a platform that cares about our models,” Banks, who is based Austin, Texas, but travels the world for Flirt4Free, told AVN. “We work with people all over the industry.” Jimmy James, the Orange County-based VP of ATKingdom and AMK Empire, told AVN his studios continue to release eight new niche titles per month. “So we really want to get the name out there,” James said. “Part of that is networking with a lot of the other business owners here.” Earlier in the afternoon, the first seminar of the Internext-AEE track played to a standing room only crowd in Festival Hall C. Titled “Premium Platforms: Finding the Next Level of Social Media Marketing,” the panel was moderated by YNOT co-owner Jay Kopita. The panel included expert insights from Lauren MacEwen (7Veils), Lady Bella Kush (Camgirl Dollhouse), Alix Lovell (New Verticals Consulting) and Harriet Sugarcookie (Sugarcookie.com) on how to monetize and optimize staples such as Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter and YouTube. By the end of the discussion that ranged from the best ways to increase your engagement on each platform, Sugarcookie summed up the end game best, suggesting that people try to get out of the “corporate” mindset when posting on social media. “What kind of pictures do I put? What kind of hashtags do I put? You have to pretend this is a new platform; this is a new way of marketing and you should start it with that in mind and stop comparing it and stop trying to use those old methods,” Sugarcookie said. “We’re in the age of amateur. … People want authenticity. People want connection. Porn isn’t just sex anymore, … “People are paying for connection and they’re paying for authenticity and social media is a way to tell people that you are those things. Social media is not, ‘Hey I’m putting this picture out and this is an ad. It’s a, ‘Hey, this is me. This is my company. And we’re real.’ I just feel like people are in the wrong mindset.”
