Pineapple Support to Offer Free Therapy for Performers at AEE

LAS VEGAS, NV—Pineapple Support and Clips4Sale are teaming up to provide performers with free drop-in therapy, and it'll all happen at a private suite at the Hard Rock Hotel during AVN's Adult Entertainment Expo. Three volunteer therapists will be on site, led by Alessandra Lanti, a Vegas-based therapist whose main focus is sex workers. Two years ago, Lanti created the Las Vegas Valley’s only non-denominational counseling service for sex workers and gender diverse individuals. “The world may see the glamour and the awards, but performers can struggle with issues of depression, anxiety and addiction, just as people do in every other profession,” said Leya Tanit, performer and founder of Pineapple Support. “Unfortunately, performers often have a harder time securing judgement-free health care. The Pineapple Support Therapy Suite at AVN is a place to talk openly and privately, in a supportive, stigma-free environment.” Pineapple Support was launched by Tanit in 2018 in response to the string of tragic and unnecessary loss of life in the adult industry from issues related to mental health. The non-profit organization focuses solely on mental health by providing psychotherapy, counseling and emotional support to persons working in the adult industry who are in need of help but unable to acquire it on their own. “I am honored that Clips4Sale has been able to work together with Pineapple Support to provide a safe space for models to express themselves during the AEE,” said Neil, owner of Clips4Sale. “Everyone always needs to get things out, and the drop-in therapy suite is a great place to start.” The Pineapple Support Therapy Suite will be located in the Hard Rock’s Casino Tower, where therapists will offer free, drop-in therapy from 1-5 PM Thursday and Friday, and 12-3 PM on Saturday. At other times, the suite will host group therapy sessions focussing on Sexual Trauma, Violence and the Sex Workers Support and Solidarity Group. All sessions are free and confidential.
