'Axel Braun’s Girlfest' Now Available on DVD

LOS ANGELES—Fresh after its nomination as a Best All-Girl Movie contender at last night's 2019 AVN Awards Nomination Party, Wicked Pictures has announced the DVD release of Axel Braun’s Girlfest.  Showcasing ten women who share enthusiasm for same-sex loving, this showcase is Braun's latest collaboration with 2019 All-Girl Performer of the Year nominee Charlotte Stokely. Braun previously cast Stokely in his award-winning Wicked Comix parody Justice League XXX. The movie has been drawing fans since its September 28 video-on-demand debut. Stokely shares the spotlight—and the DVD cover—with webcam model and Southern California native Sabina Rouge, while the supporting cast includes performers Elena Koshka (The Possession of Mrs. Hyde), Lauren Phillips, Jennifer White, September Reign (a 2018 Urban X Award winner for Axel Braun's Brown Sugar 2), Ivy Jones, Brenna Sparks, Zoey Foxx and Aidra Fox. “I’m actually a big fan of girl-girl movies," said Braun, “which is really one of the reasons why I never tackled the genre, if that makes any sense. It’s just one of those things that I only wanted to do if it was right—if I had the perfect cast and the right inspiration—which I ended up finding strangely during the busiest year of my career.” This year Braun helmed 14 all-sex movies and two big-budget features—The Possession of Mrs. Hyde and Deadpool XXX—amassing multiple AVN Award nominations for his body of work, including Director of the Year. “Charlotte Stokely and Elena Koshka were the two main pieces of my puzzle. Stokely is undoubtedly the best all-girl performer in the business, and after getting to know her better during the Justice League XXX shoot, I decided that I was gonna work with her as much as humanly possible because she is just amazing. And Elena may very well be the most beautiful woman on the planet, so I gave myself the challenge of coming up with eight more girls who could live up to these two, and the result is pretty explosive. Every scene is a standout, and every performer gave 110 percent in terms of heat and passion. I literally cannot pick a favorite scene, and I am so proud and thankful that the movie got nominated!" Stokely, who is also nommed for her scene with Sabina Rouge, simply quipped, “I would have fisted her, but her pussy was too tight!” which is a pretty accurate example of her off-beat sense of humor. Koshka, who previously worked with Axel in the upcoming Axel Braun’s Nylon 2 had plenty to say about the four-time AVN Director of the Year winner. “Axel is a man of wisdom and passion. Working with him was a breath of fresh air, everything was carefully prepared and perfectly communicated in advance,” she said. “The way he carries himself and his crew is unlike any other—he puts priority in making sure the performers know what his vision is so that we can in return give a performance that is up to his high standards. It was a simple and quick day, surrounded by positive people who were all there to create a masterpiece. Axel, in my opinion, is at the top of the hierarchy of directors to work for, and I am thankful that he chose me to be a part of his first-ever all-girl project."
