An Interview With Jill Kassidy

The pearl necklace that Jill Kassidy wears in some of her sex scenes holds special meaning for her. It’s the one that came with the surprise gift package she received from Pornhub when she took the stage at the 2018 AVN Awards to accept the Best New Starlet trophy. “I’ve probably used it in five of my scenes,” Kassidy says. The 22-year-old native of Dallas also went home with a selection of Pornhub sex toys and a water bottle in her gift bag on her history-making night on January 27, presented by MyFreeCams.com at The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. “I used the Rabbit [vibrator] a couple times,” she reveals. “I used it on Chaturbate and Camversity and for my OnlyFans and Snapchat. I’ve also used the water bottle—it keeps my drinks really cold.” When Kassidy claimed the adult industry’s most coveted honor for a new performer, it was also recorded for a cable broadcast that made its world premiere in April. If fans didn’t know about the all-American blonde before that, they found out when they saw her on national TV. “It’s kind of embarrassing,” Kassidy says bashfully. “A lot of people told me they saw me.” She says even though her parents were aware of her porn career from the beginning, she had not informed them that she won Best New Starlet. “My dad called me a couple months ago and said, ‘Why didn’t you tell me you won an award?’ I said, ‘Um, I didn’t think you would want to know about it,’” Kassidy says. “He said, ‘No, I was really proud of you.’ I was so surprised. He found out because my older sister told him. She’s 26.” The demand for Kassidy’s services only increased in 2018—and not just for her sex scenes. Because of her rising profile, she has also become a sought-after model for live-cam sites, such as the startup Camversity. “They reached out to me. They want to bring more viewers from different platforms and they don’t have really any porn girls on their website,” Kassidy explains. “I’m going to start camming for them a lot now. I like the camming part of porn now, too. It’s really fun and really easy, especially if I don’t have work the next day.” Kassidy says she knew of Camversity because she follows Sabrina Nellie—a Camversity regular—on social media and Nellie looks like one of her friends. “I’ve always been a fan of Sabrina Nellie,” Kassidy admits. “So Lena the Plug—she also cams on there—she messaged me on Twitter and said they were looking for girls with bigger platforms.”  Kassidy at press time also was scheduled to do a special one-night appearance on live-cam heavyweight ImLive.com, which hired her to do a solo show. It’s all part of a hectic shooting schedule for the former Starbucks barista, who has enjoyed a steady stream of bookings since leaving Las Vegas in January. “I definitely still get a lot of work. I don’t know if it’s more. It’s always been pretty consistent,” says Kassidy, who has been represented exclusively by LA Direct Models since her debut in June 2016. “For some reason I’ve only been booked for girl/girl this month. My first boy/girl this month is on Sunday. “I feel like I’ve gotten booked a lot more for girl/girl since I won. I love the girl/girl stuff. I’ve done so much this year.” Kassidy says she’s still waiting to do anal—she hasn’t even tried it in her personal life yet.  “I have the butt plugs,” she confesses. “I don’t really want to do that myself. It seems like it would be painful.” In an interview with AVN last summer Kassidy listed 2016 AVN Female Performer of the Year Riley Reid as someone she hoped to work with in the future. Consider that mission accomplished. “I worked with Riley Reid for Twistys. We did a girl/girl together and it was really cool. I also did a scene with her for her website with Melissa Moore as well. We were supposed to be triplets and it was her New Year’s update with Jean Val Jean. That was really glamorous. We had sparkly makeup and we were pin-up girls. It was super classy and pretty.” Kassidy, who starred in the 2018 AVN Award-winning Best Drama, Half His Age: A Teenage Tragedy, for Pure Taboo, has yet to do another full feature movie but has been cast in several scenes that involve some acting.  Two, in particular, have been for Pure Taboo opposite 2018 Best Actor Tommy Pistol, a three-time winner of the AVN Best Actor award. “Oh my gosh, he’s my favorite that I’ve worked with for acting wise,” Kassidy says. “He’s so fun and it’s so easy to act crazy with him because he’s so crazy.” In one of the scenes Kassidy plays a teen mother who is in trouble after she abandoned her baby in the middle of nowhere. Pistol plays her sadistic psychiatrist who tricks her into having sex with him. “During the sex it was so funny we had the weirdest dirty talk I’ve ever done in a scene,” she says. “And then we did a scene together for Pure Taboo where I was supposed to be an android daughter.” In the dark, futuristic episode, Kassidy’s character dies and comes back to life as a sex robot who tries to seduce her father (Pistol) in a scene that co-stars legendary performer Nina Hartley. “I was just being crazy and I made him have sex with me,” Kassidy says. “Those scenes were really fun to do. I have another scene for [director Bree Mills] in August.” Kassidy at the time of this interview in July also had a scene lined up for Blacked Raw with Jason Luv. “I worked with him before for Jules Jordan but our scene is not out yet,” she says. “He was really great, really sweet. He was just saying a lot of really sweet things to me the whole time.” Meanwhile, the Dallas Cowboys and Miley Cyrus fan says she continues to move items from her online store, such as Skype shows, panties, signed photos and DVDs. “The most popular item that was on there was my premium Snapchat, but I had to take it off,” Kassidy says. “One of the members—I don’t know if they were mad at me for not responding— but somebody just started reporting my Snap every single day. “I have one guy who will buy the shoes every time I put a pair of shoes on there. A lot of people from other countries will buy signed pictures and signed DVDs because they can’t make it to conventions to meet me. It does pretty well. …It started out with just Snapchat and DVDs.” Her best-selling DVD is her showcase for Jules Jordan called Ultimate Fuck Toy: Jill Kassidy. “That sells really fast. That was the first DVD that sold out,” she says. That comes as no surprise to AVN Hall of Fame director Jules Jordan, whose collaborations with Kassidy have been slam dunks. “Jill is like the ultimate cheerleader or prom queen,” Jordan tells AVN. “Her innocent looks make her all the naughtier. The showcase we did was definitely one of my favorites. She exceeded all of my expectations.” The good news for fans is Kassidy has no plans of slowing down. “I want to be in this for as long as I can and make the most out of it,” she says. “I want a really long career. I still love shooting porn.” Kassidy also points to a girl/girl orgy scene in Adam & Eve’s Unleashed with Scarlett Sage, Honey Gold and Eliza Jane as a recent highlight. “That was a really fun one. That was my first orgy-type scene. I love working with Scarlett. She’s super energetic and fun. I’m really excited for that to come out.” In December Kassidy will head to Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand for Kim Nielsen’s porn travelogue series, ATK Girlfriends; she already went to the big island of Hawaii, where she saw a volcano erupting and went snorkeling and star gazing with Nielsen for a previous episode. “I’m going for 16 days.
