Fresh Faces: Gia Derza

LOS ANGELES—Gia Derza cried happy tears after working with James Deen for the second time in her brief adult film career. “It was so good,” Derza recalls. “He made me cum like six times in a row.” Their encounter is one of the headlining scenes in New Sensations’ Sex With My Younger Sister 4, which hit the streets Thursday. The 19-year-old newcomer not only knew who Deen was before making her porn debut, it wouldn’t be a stretch to say she was a fan of the two-time AVN Male Performer of the Year. So when they first met on the set of Deen’s Analized earlier this year, things got “insane” quick, according to Derza, who says “just his presence” gets her all riled up. “I’m such a sub," she admits. "I’m the most submissive girl ever. He looks at me and I can’t function." Deen, who has performed in more than 3300 sex scenes since 2004 and won AVN’s top honor for a male porn star in 2009 and 2013, believes Derza “has endless potential.” “She fucks like a demon but is like super pretty, too,” Deen tells AVN. “She really could do whatever she wanted to do in this industry. I hope she wants to continue to have sex with me because it is very cool to do that with her.” Deen isn’t the only industry veteran with high praise for the fresh-faced native of Twinsburg, Ohio, who did amateur scenes for a few months before making her commercial porn debut for Jules Jordan Video in March. That anal scene with Chris Strokes appears in Slut Puppies 12. “He has a really long dick to be going in my asshole,” Derza says. “And I’ve never had that big of a dick in my ass before that day. I just totally went for it.” Her go-for-it attitude, intense performances and sensational curves have established her as one of porn’s hottest newcomers this year—16 of her 30 scenes released so far have been anal with top studios, while dozens more are on the way. “I’ve been so in love with porn ever since I can remember,” Derza says. “I remember seeing these girls in their pretty dresses at the [AVN Awards Show] and finding out about there being a porn awards, and then I fell in love with it after that.” She also fell for Abella Danger, the superstar performer from Miami who was the 2016 AVN Best New Starlet. “The first porn star that I really started watching was Skin Diamond,” Derza explains. “And then through Skin Diamond I found James Deen. And I love, love, love them together. But then Skin stopped performing and so I had to find somebody else. Because I’m the type of person who will choose one and then like fangirl over the guy or the girl. “So that’s how I fell for Skin, but then I see James post this video of Abella with him going to Vegas or something—like they were going on a road trip. And I was just hooked on her—her fucking passion. She honestly taught me how to have passion in sex. Because that’s partially why I would watch porn—for pointers and stuff at first—and then I really got into it. And I just really got into her.” Derza’s desire for Danger made their LesbianX scene one of 2018’s must-see girl/girl liaisons. “It was just so amazing,” Derza says. “We fucked all the way through and we even fucked when the camera wasn’t rolling. I’m so grateful,” Derza says. “I knew of him. I knew he was Abella’s agent.” Danger tells AVN, “I love her. Every good girl should be a Spiegler Girl. I worked with her for LesbianX and she was so amazing I said, ‘Why isn’t Spiegler her agent?’ Then I made her come over and I made Spiegler come over… Oh my gosh, I think she has the potential to go as far as she possibly can and be bigger than me.” Spiegler recalls meeting Derza in person at Abella's place. “I had read about her online on AdultDVDTalk and saw people talking about her,” Spiegler tells AVN. “I had also heard people talking about her on the set—that she was a good performer and this and that. “I told her we’d be willing to take her, but it’s a life decision and she should think about it and make up her mind and let me know.” But Derza didn’t need to think any more about it because she knew she wanted to join Spiegler Girls. “Abella Danger was her hero,” Spiegler continues. “Before it was [former Spiegler Girl] Skin Diamond… Performers really like her and also she was very innocent and naive and kind of needed help—not just professionally, but also personal assistance.” Since coming on board with Spiegler, who has represented five of the past six AVN Female Performer of the Year winners, Derza has been booked early and often—at press time she was scheduled through the end of November. Among her upcoming bookings are Girlsway, Pure Taboo, Elegant Angel, Badoink VR, Mike Adriano, Chris Streams, Jonni Darkko, Mason, Kink, James Avalon, Dark X, CherryPimps, Babes and Lethal Hardcore. Derza has already done multiple scenes for Evil Angel, Naughty America and Jules Jordan, with additional credits for Girlfriends Films, Hard X, Devil’s Film, Perv City and Tushy, among others. “This is her dream job,” Spiegler says. “When I first met her she told me this is what she was meant to do and what she’s always wanted to do. Abella is her idol in the business. Intentionally or not she patterned herself after that. She hangs out with Kendra Spade and a bunch of the Spiegler Girls. They’re kind of like an extended family.” Derza, who shot with Juan Lucho for Evil Angel founder John Stagliano on the day of this interview, says her eventful first year in porn has made for many surreal moments. “Mind-blown,” she says. “I didn’t think that this was going to happen. I never thought that Spiegler would take an interest in me. I never thought that I’d be good at anal. And I never thought that I would be here. I really didn’t believe in myself. “I loved porn so much and I wanted it to be like this but I never thought that I could make it this far. It’s been a journey for me, definitely.” Before breaking into adult, Derza studied Sociology and Criminology for one semester at Kent State—located near Akron, Ohio—where she also served gluten-free food in the school cafeteria. Derza continues, “Part of the reason why I left is I didn’t really know what I wanted to do with my future there. I didn’t see myself getting anything out of it. I was really interested in my Sociology and I’ll probably take classes online in the future. And I love English and I love Criminology. I love all of that stuff but I don’t know, this part of me… This was calling stronger." Derza says her second professional scene was with Kissa Sins and five-time AVN Male Performer of the Year Manuel Ferrara—directed by Jules Jordan. “It is insane and it needs to be out so I can watch it,” Derza says. “I bet you it’s going to drop right before AVN. It was so much fun. For me I was just thinking back... I was just a sweet, innocent girl. I did not know what I was getting myself into. And Manuel Ferrara—whew…I love shooting with him. He’s great. It was anal for me but not anal for her... “... So basically they played the dominant ones and I was this submissive little thing and they had a leash on me and a blindfold. So there’s that one with Markus and then I have the one that comes out in the [Oil Slick] movie for Chris Streams with Markus. And then I have another oil scene with Markus I have for Elegant Angel. Best performances I’ve probably ever given.” Dupree, aka The Russian Rocket, agrees, telling AVN Derza already has proven she can go toe-to-toe with the best in the business. “When you look at Gia Derza for the first time she looks very quiet, like a vanilla girl—but she is The Beast!” Dupree says. “You need to just bring that out from her! If you can’t, don’t shoot with her, because she is Ronaldo in porn. She will smash you. “So first, the oil scene is the most difficult performance! It is! I know a lot of people will look at that and think it looks fun and easy... It’s because I show like that! But I want to tell you that it’s very important that the girl listens to you, completely trusts and follows you… That’s called Gia Derza!” Even though Dupree, the 30-year-old native of St. Petersburg, Russia, shoots almost every day and is one of porn's busiest performers, he can recall every time he performed with Derza. “So my first shooting with Gia was a boy/girl anal oil scene for Chris Streams for Evil Angel," Dupree continues. "And you know what people—not one cut! If you are a new girl and you can handle Markus Dupree oil style, straight true, it means first you are very, very smart. Because you listen to Markus. Sometimes I lose myself in my scenes so much that I don’t remember what exactly happened. So I need to go back and recap,” Derza jokes.  And she knows she's been “kind of spoiled” with her scene partners. “I’ve worked with pretty much everyone, except for Angela White,” Derza says. “There’s a lot of girls that I would love to fuck.
