Fresh Faces: Vanna Bardot |
Vanna Bardot selected her name from "the first girl I had a crush on, in middle school. I thought she was the most beautiful girl ever and her name so intriguing." She originally wanted to be a hairstylist. "I worked in salons from when I was 15 to when I was 18. Then I learned that I really didn't enjoy doing hair and makeup for other people." She started camming when she was 18, but "I didn’t really commit to it, and when I was ready to commit, it was too late." She had been a ballet dancer, so she moved on to club dancing in Miami. Bardot says she likes the variety in working as an on-camera performer: "Every day I'm working on a different set. There's new people I get to meet every day. I love that I get to play out sexual scenarios that I wouldn't get the chance to do in my everyday life, but I get the chance to do it." In her nascent on-camera career, she has done "between 10 and 15 scenes, not counting stills shoots." She likes a scene she did for New Sensations with Damon Dice: "He's beautiful, so you can't really go wrong with that. The chemistry was good." Her dream scene is "possibly a gangbang, or a d.p. Something crazy. I'm willing to try it all — almost all. I'd like to do a d.p. with Manuel Ferrara and Mick Blue... I'd also like to work with Stoya, but I missed out on that. I’d also like to work with Bree Mills. Her stuff is outstanding. Her scenarios are really complex. I loved Half His Age." While on set, she is taking the opportunity to learn the mechanics of production from the crew. "Color balance, I think, is the most interesting thing that I never really thought of before. All the things that go into making a video that no one thinks about. It's amazing how much knowledge and artistry goes into making porn." In her spare time, Bardot likes to cook ("Both my parents were chefs.") and her specialty is a roast chicken she learned from her mother. "I make it so good and so homestyle." Her words to live by: "It is what it is." "My mother used to say that all the time. It's accepting whatever situation you’re in and the way things are in life." Follow her on Twitter: @vannabardot.
