New Sensations Romance Releases 'Love In The Digital Age' |
CHATSWORTH, Calif.—Award-winning writer/director Jacky St. James has just released a new romantic comedy, Love In the Digital Age, through her frequent producer New Sensations. The feature's cinematography was accomplished by award-winning director of photography Eddie Powell. In the movie, Gia Paige stars as Sara, an internet-obsessed millennial, who on a dare gives up her smart phone and social media and discovers that love is far more rewarding when she gets her head out of the cloud. Logan Pierce plays her love interest Grif, an embittered romantic eager to start a romance with Sara before she uncovers a secret that could cost them both what they've been looking for. " Love In the Digital Age is one of my favorite movies I've ever been a part of," Gia Paige said. "I feel I struggle with people to get their attention from their phones sometimes so this really hit home for me. I think it's very reflective on how the internet can affect our daily lives, in a negative or positive manner. Plus, it was such a fun production! I always have fun on set with Jacky; she's my absolute favorite." Logan Pierce said, "Grif has a love/hate relationship with technology. On one hand, it’s allowed him to be as successful as he is, but on the other, he believes it has diluted and diminished the importance of real human interaction—a belief that is mutually shared between he and Sarah. At face value, Grif is sweet, charming, and progressive. But, beneath the surface, he is harboring secrets that could drastically affect not only his professional reputation, but also his newfound relationship with Sarah. "Working with Jacky is always a treat," Pierce continued. "She has a clear and concise vision for all of her movies and she understands and respects each character and his or her involvement in the greater picture. She's an auteur of adult film." Love In the Digital Age co-stars 2016 Penthouse Pet of the Year Kenna James as Lizzie, Sara’s internet-addicted BFF, and Mona Wales as Lizze’s mother Janine, a tech-impaired Gen Xer swiping right for the first time on a dating app. Rounding out the cast are Tyler Nixon as Sara's self-absorbed ex and wannabe internet personality, Marcus London as Janine’s Mr. (swipe) Right, and Small Hands as a mysterious neo-Luddite. "I am thrilled to share Love In the Digital Age with everyone," Jacky St. James said. "It's not only a welcomed return to the rom-com genre that has been somewhat abandoned in our industry, it's a fun and reflective work that speaks to what society and romance has become and what it can be." Love In the Digital Age was produced for New Sensations Romance and marks the imprint's first release since 2014's award-winning Second Chances, which was named Best Romance Movie at the 2015 AVN Awards and Best Release at the 2015 XRCO Awards. Love In the Digital Age has a runtime of 123 minutes and includes an exclusive photo gallery and candid Behind-the-Scenes featurette. To view the trailer for Love In the Digital Age, click here.
