Will Kanye West Be ‘Creative Director’ at PornHub Awards? Maybe

Pornhub may be on the verge of a major coup for the site’s first awards show, which is scheduled for Thursday, September 6—at least according to a report that started in the New York Post Page Six gossip column on Monday. According to the Page Six scuttlebutt,  41-year-old, 21-time Grammy winning rapper Kanye West is engaged in frantic, last-minute negotiations to take part in the porn awards show in some capacity—possibly with the title “creative director.” “There are some insane negotiations going on,” a “source” told Page Six—though the gossip column said it could not obtain comments on the possibility of West's participation either from West himself or from anyone representing Pornhub. The show is set to be hosted by AVN Award winner Asa Akira, and will take place at the Belasco Theatre in Los Angeles, California. Pornhub plans to live stream the ceremony on its own site, including a feed in virtual reality. Perhaps as an incentive for West to take part, the show will feature—in addition the expected list of porn award categories—an award for “celebrity of the year,” handed out to a non-porn figure, and coincidentally or not, West’s own wife, reality TV star Kim Kardashian’ is among the nominees, as is his sister-in-law, model Kylie Jenner. West’s name came up in association with Pornhub when, during a recent interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live, which may be viewed at this link, he declared himself a regular viewer of the site, adding that his preference in porn was “a lot of black on white, obviously ... my own reality.” Pornhub responded to the mention by reportedly gifting West a free, lifetime, premium membership to the site.
