Who Knew? Lisa Ann’s Special Birthday Guest Was… Roger Stone

NEW YORK CITY—So ... we spent part of the Decoration Memorial Day weekend catching up on our political TV watching, and one of the shows we'd been putting off was Showtime's The Circus: Inside the Greatest Political Show on Earth. It was the May 13 episode, titled "War and Peace," and it was the only hour-long episode in recent memory—with good reason. The hosts—political writers John Heilemann and Mark McKinnon, and producer Alex Wagner—had spent the previous week following around Michael Avenatti, Stormy Daniels' attorney, as he was filing papers, appearing on talk shows and explaining legal strategy. But they also managed to interview other political figures as well, consistent with the show's theme, "the Greatest Political Show on Earth." As one might have guessed, that "show" is the Trump White House—and as anyone who's been following that show (the real one, not the TV one) is probably aware, one of Trump's long-time buddies is political consultant and long-time Republican strategist Roger Stone. Stone's the author of the recent book Stone's Rules—some of them: "Rule #41: Attack, Attack, Attack—Never Defend."; "Rule #54: Hate Is A Stronger Motivator Than Love."; "Rule #64: Campaign Finance Reform Has Done for Politics What Pantyhose Has Done For Finger Fucking."; and of course, the ever-popular "Rule #36: Brown is The Color of Shit."—and he's also had a very interesting sexual history. For example, according to New York Times reporter Jan Hoffman, "In September 1996 ... the National Enquirer wrote that Mr. Stone, then a volunteer spokesman for Senator Bob Dole, had placed ads and photographs seeking sexual partners for himself and his second wife, Nydia." Stone originally denied the story, but later admitted it was true. And then there's the New Yorker's Jeffrey Toobin, who reported in 2008 that, "Miami Velvet is the leading 'swingers’ club' in Miami, and Roger Stone took me there to explain the role he may have played in the fall of Eliot Spitzer, the former governor of New York," who some may recall was forced to resign his position after it was revealed that he'd hired prostitutes several times from top-level escort services. Anyway, the "War and Peace" episode of The Circus held back the Stone interview until last, and as he was arriving to meet Heilemann and Wagner at a fancy New York restaurant for dinner, he announced, "I have a long night ahead of me. I'm going to a birthday party for Lisa Ann, the legendary adult film star, the star of Nailin' Paylin." "Wait, wait, wait, wait!" exclaimed Wagner. "You're going to a porn star's birthday party?!?" "It's going to be quite tame," Stone downplayed, adding as if by explanation, "It's at a hotel." "Why do porn stars keep coming up?" Wagner queried. "You got me," was Stone's only response—though the idea that Stone and Trump share only political tastes is likely uber-naïve. But the point is ... a major political mover-and-shaker and really good friend of Donald Trump went to legendary porn star Lisa Ann's birthday party! That would be this birthday party, held at the W Hotel in Times Square, and as can be seen from the above photos, sure enough, Roger Stone was there—and Lisa Ann was quite happy about it. "It was a real treat to have such a special guest at my birthday party," Lisa Ann told AVN while traveling between dancing gigs. "I am more intrigued than ever to read his book and blog all about it!" In fact, the reason Stone was there in the first place, and the reason Lisa Ann has a copy of his book, are due to the publicist they share, Lainie Speiser. "I invited him, because I rep him!" Speiser exclaimed. "He was in NYC that week promoting his book, Stone's Rules. He had a copy of the book sent to her hotel in NYC, and during his press tour in NYC, when people asked about Stormy Daniels, he joked about being more of a 'Lisa Ann man' himself. Lisa is a big reader of non-fiction; that's why he sent her a copy of the book." So with a pal like Stone, shouldn't more people be wondering what Donald Trump is watching besides Fox News as he eats his cheeseburgers in the middle of the night?
