Sydney Leathers Gives Rep. Diane Black The What-For In New Column

LOS ANGELES—Sydney Leathers first came to America's attention as the 22-year-old sexting partner (one might say "victim") of then-New York mayoral candidate (and former U.S. Rep.) "[I]t’s beyond stupid to blame porn for school shootings and not, say, easy access to firearms or parents failing to keep their guns locked away properly," Leathers writes. "I grew up in a house with firearms (which were locked away in a gun safe) and access to my dad’s copies of Hustler. I didn’t grow up to be violent, but I did grow up to be a whore. And frankly, I’ll take slutting around over being a mass murderer any day! "It seems to me that sexually repressed teens are more likely to be violent than those who spend time jerking off to porn (which I assume they do on the Internet and not in grocery stores)," she sagely adds. "But here’s one thing we don’t talk about enough when we talk about porn: it isn’t meant for children. It’s adult entertainment." One thing is clear from the piece: Leathers ain't stupid—and this piece should be required reading for all religious conservatives, especially the ones in Washington and state governments.
