Wicked Tackles 'Insomnia' With New Hank Hoffman Offering

CANOGA PARK, Calif.—AVN Award nominated director Hank Hoffman guides a cast led by Mona Wales and Chanel Preston through emotionally complex new Wicked Pictures drama Insomnia, out today on DVD and at Wicked.com. According to a company announcement, Hoffman's latest effort for the studio tells the story of Piper Valentine (Wales), an introspective thirtysomething who develops a case of insomnia after being cheated on by her husband and seeing her company go bankrupt. She finds a new lover named Terry, but comes to learn that he's a drug dealer.  Elaborates the company roundup of the picture: "Replete with rich and varied sex scenes which enhance the storyline, Insomnia finds Wales delivering a poignant, psychologically-informed performance as a woman who but for a quirk of fate finds herself up against a wall with very few alternatives. With this story arc in place, Hoffman's film then follows how she overcomes those options, drawing on her own inner strength to fuel her quest to not just survive, but thrive."
