Interview With Alexa Nova: 'I’m Comfortable With My Body'

Click here to see the digital edition.“I started with anal,” Alexa Nova says, but corrects it to “the first one, technically, was deep throat and the second one was anal.” She had been working full time as a receptionist in her native Las Vegas, and dancing on weekends to make ends meet. “I enjoyed the dancing, but not so much the hustling-for-money part. I love performing and I’m comfortable with my body and sexuality, so I decided to change things. I went online and inquired, and an L.A.-based agency got back with me in a couple of hours. And it’s been going well since.”Nova lives in Las Vegas but travels to L.A. regularly for work: “I’m available—on six hours notice,” she laughs. “In the adult industry, I like that I get to meet new people, and have new experiences, and travel. I can improve my acting and modeling skills. I wasn’t comfortable with acting when I started, but the more practice I’ve gotten, the more I enjoy it. I like that I have opportunities to improve.”She attended AVN Adult Entertainment Expo as a new performer, and “It was really hectic, but I don’t really party—I did that in my young teens, I grew up in Vegas—so I just went home after. I was nominated for Virtual Reality Sex Scene and Hottest Newcomer at the AVN Awards last year. I was grateful to be nominated,” she says.Asked about her best scenes, Nova says, “it depends on what you’re looking for. I’m known for being really hardcore. I’ve done double anal, gangbangs, stuff like that. There was one that I got the cover for, a POV anal scene with Toni Ribas. It was super amazing. It’s called POV Sluts Anal Edition, and I’m on the cover. I’m stoked about that. That’s the most recent one that’s really good.”Her wish list includes director Mason and production companies Elegant Angel, Bang Bros., Reality Kings, New Sensations and Girlsway. “Although I’m known for hardcore, I can soften it up.
