Joey Kim to Perform Live at Eloha Yonim - Goddess of the Doves |
LOS ANGELES—Cam star and aerialist Joey Kim will headline Eloha Yonim - Goddess of the Doves, a live theatrical performance ritual on March 17 in New York. The unique event, produced by entrepreneur Pearl Reich and held at a private loft space only disclosed to ticket holders, creates a seductive, interactive atmosphere for its guests. The night will feature aerial acrobatics, simulated sex scenes, food served from elaborate cages, world class artists, fashion vendors and several other surprises designed to heighten the senses. Kim will be joined by “Queen Of The Night” Katherine Crockett as featured entertainment at the event aimed at celebrating sexual freedom. The name of the event is inspired by the story of the dove, which originally was a symbol of the Greek goddess of love, Aphrodite, and her Roman counterpart, Venus. In the spirit of the mission of Eloha Yonim, the dove “helps you recapture a sense of wonder and love for the world around you.” Pearl Reich, who founded PearlPerri Jewelry & Accessories, an art and fashion brand, describes her event as an “immersive theatrical fantasy for the connoisseur of life.” “It all began with the purpose of combining the sexy, the high end, the progressive and the paramour theatrical while living a play fantasy,” Reich tells AVN. “Eloha Yonim is a pansexual party, so whatever your kink, you're welcome here as long as you're respectful." "Consent" is a mandatory part of the evening's festivities. “We love bi, lesbians and straight couples and we hate labels. We're here for the love," Reich continues. “... It's the kinky salon crowd, so it's always a blast and a sexual revolution of some sort. We love all forms of sexual expression.” Reich says Eloha Yonim so far has hosted four events; its mission is “to become a Studio 54 that travels around the globe, including performing sex rituals at festivals and cruises, which we have already done in the past.” Selecting Joey Kim for the main attraction for the fifth edition was an easy decision, Reich says. “The reason we've reached out to Joey is for the simply very obvious reason of her being absolutely gorgeous, sexually very in tune, very open and a true creative artist,” Reich explains. “Our space is a place filled with breathtaking art. It is very difficult to find performers who are extremely classy, poised and very comfortable with their body who can deliver a sex act that comes across as sexually empowering, while seducing the crowd into a trance of passion and sexual awakening. “I have never throughout my short career of art, designing, writing, creating and producing met such a humble, talented, magnificent, kind and pure shining spirit like Joey Kim. “There is no better way to introduce a tribal unit of sensual connections, inspiration and riddance of sexual shame with a woman so fierce and independent such as her. I'm honored to host her as our main interactive actress/performer of the Eloha Yonim - Goddess of the Doves.” Kim, who has appeared on the pages of Penthouse and cammed from exotic locations all over the world for her site, JoeyKim.tv, calls Reich “one of the most inspiring women I have ever met.” “We met after a mutual friend, Gilles Bonugli Kali, brought us together,” Kim tells AVN. “He felt we were a vibrational match to each other and was convinced we were walking similar paths and passionately promoting the same message in our work. “Of course, when Pearl invited me to create a performance piece for her event, it was an immediate ‘yes’ for me. I flew back from Europe just to be here for her event. I was immediately moved by her story, and her passion to create an event that was immersive and allowed everyone attending the ability to be a part of an exploration of sexuality that went beyond themselves.” Kim, who also goes live on MyFreeCams on occasion, says the inspiration for her Eloha Yonim performance “is the strength and vigilance of Pearl.” “This is a woman who fought fiercely for her ability to be free in her sexual expression of her mind, body and soul,” Kim continues. “She spoke to me about her journey to sexual freedom, and her story nearly had me in tears. It is not my story to tell, but if you get the chance to meet this extraordinary, brave woman, please take the time to get to know her. She will inspire you. This is more than just an event for her. All of the artists involved are bringing something meaningful and special to the table. Thank you Pearl for pouring your heart and soul into this, and allowing me to bring my own energy to something so wonderful.” Kim reveals that Eloha Yonim “begins with the act of confessing your deepest desires or perhaps what holds us back from our own ideas of sexual liberation and freedom.” “When we write this down and place them on our hands, we are physically reminded of our desires for pleasure, love and our pain that holds us back,” Kim explains. “Symbolically, wrapped around our wrists, will be our greatest fears and setbacks. We continue to carry this honesty within ourselves and openly to others throughout the night. This is the start of the journey of Eloha Yonim. “Writing this down is therapeutic as it forces you to admit very openly what you hope to perhaps let go. For me, it will be sexual shame. It’s caused a lot of pain within me. As I’ve grown older I’ve allowed myself to become more and more open about my sexuality—it’s beauty, it's power and it's strength. I’ve come a really long way when it comes to sexual freedom and allowing myself this freedom. But nonetheless, I still hold within myself a lot of sexual shame-based fear, and I’d like to be completely free from this one day, to fully harness the power of my sexuality.” To Kim, what Eloha Yonim aspires to do makes it much more than a play party. “I believe we’re all going to come to this together with love and an open mind," Kim reasons. "These two things are what I believe can heal and change an experience from becoming just a moment in time to something more transformative. You are not a spectator of this experience, you are a part of it—like waves in an ocean. Our safety is in knowing that each of us are vulnerable, therefore we are responsible for each other.” Kim plans to share the most personal live performance of her career as the grand finale of the night. “We end the journey of Eloha Yonim with a sexual sacrifice, where I release and dispose of all of my own personal fears and pains and unapologetically share my sexual energy with the audience,” Kim says. “I will allow myself to be sexually penetrated and I will open my body to allow my deepest desires and pleasures to enter me, until I reach the peak of my climax, to release the shackles that hold me back.” She continues, “This performance is different from anything I have ever done before in the past. My performances had always been symbolic of something more erotic and sexual on a stage. I have always expressed my sexual energy in dance and striptease during a performance, but never with sex itself, with exception of live streaming. “I always felt comfort in the nude and in masturbation in the privacy of my bedroom behind my own lens. However, with Eloha Yonim, this will be the most vulnerable I will have ever been in front of a live audience. In a sense, I had always expressed sex symbolically in the sexual way my body moves to tantalize, but this will be the first time I will allow sex to move me. It will be the first time I will perform sex, as sex itself. A sacred act, sharing my expressive body in it's entirety—both in the way I move when I express my sexual body and in the way my sexual body moves me. “The audience will be encouraged to dispose or burn their written desires, pains, and/or fears, as to symbolically release them. The physical disposal of the pain, the desire and the shackles that hold us back, is an act of allowing ourselves to move forward. The only permission we ever needed to be free was ourselves." Kim says Gilles Bonugli Kali will be documenting the event. “However, all of the most explicit acts as well as the very intimate ritual in the end will only be witnessed in it's entirely by those lucky enough to attend," she says.
