Fresh Faces: Norah Nova

Appearances are deceiving. Although she could pass for a teen, Norah Nova is a two-year veteran of the adult industry well into her 20s. A one-time schoolteacher, Nova says, “I love sex, and I love porn, so it could have been destined. Very easily.” She was on summer break looking for work when her husband (!) suggested camming: “I could stay at home and be a dirty slut and make some money. Then, through camming, I went into Twitter to contact my fans and get closer with them, and from there I was asked to shoot in Florida. I was like, ‘I can do this.’ I would fly to Florida and back, then I would go to L.A. every two weeks, and now I’m here.” On her first shoot, “I was in the dark about a lot of things. I was the last girl that had my shit together, because I didn’t know I didn’t have my shit together. When they said ‘Action’ that was fine, I can do great on sex, but I didn’t know what I needed. Like nail polish. Hair stuff. Makeup. I was a cam girl. I was like, whatever, get a scrunchie and move it out of the way. Just do it. I’m a tomboy. I had to turn into a girl. It was like going through puberty all over again.” In Florida, “I sucked a dick underwater. But the cum shot was bad because he was supposed to tap my shoulder and our communication was—bad. People come from all over the country and all over the world and they’re all there to celebrate sex. It’s like a swap meet of porn.” Nova says her best scenes are in Hustler’s Skanknado, and a g/g/g with Nari Park and Amarna Miller in Lesbian Anal Virgins for Filly Films: “Nari and I were besties, and we were holding Amarna down and fucking her, and they had to stop to make sure that we weren’t being bullies to her. I forgot our crazy comes out. There was so much energy in the room, but it was such a happy energy. We were all over each other.” She says she’s looking forward to “everything. Since I’m here, I’m looking forward to hopefully being booked all the time. Shooting more, meeting more people, going to more events. I’m new to L.A. and I’m trying to find the golden egg of the game.” Her words to live by: ‘Horny High Happy,” which she has imprinted on rubber bracelets. “I’m the horny high happy housewife,” she says with a giggle.
